I bought D_I_C_K_S #1 ages ago, at Utopia in Brussels. I couldn't believe it was in the sales bin: it's excellently drawn, and funny as hell... I mean, written by Garth Ennis, drawn by John McCrea!

I think I'll try having him doodle something on it. Heh.

(sorry for writing the title of the book so weird, d**n censors... ;D )

Hey Richard,

I'm the regular lead artist on Titans new Transformers Animated comic which launches Oct 23rd and I've got a new Hulk story in a new Panini Marvel comic which launches same date ( I'm working on a Fantastic Four story as we speak). I'm a semi regular artist on Spider Man's Tower of Power ( published weekly in France ) and I've just done a Shocker cover for Eaglemoss' Classic Marvel Figurines. I'll have artwork for sale from all these comics.

I bought the first issue of D!cks (written by Garth Ennis, art by McCrea, published by Avatar) about ten years ago, and finally got it signed. Afterwards I also found a trade, collecting all the... D!cks.

We chatted for a bit, about sketchcards and our kids. Really really nice guy. And really really scottish.

Just a bit of crits: He was a bit hard to find. I understand he was appearing by courtesy of Acme Trendz, but I think they (Acme) could've gotten a lot more out of McCrea's appearance at the con, if they'd just allowed him to set up a table at the artist alley, and covered his table with promo material for Acme Trendz or somesuch.

* Dang censorship.

i had an awesome time meeting John McCrea he was so nice... easy to say since he's my all time favorite artist

as i also mentioned above i bought;

- 2 head sketches
- 2 full body sketches
- 3 prints

and an original page of art from the comic Hitman

these scans do no justice to the original artwork, as soon as i have fixed the settings of my scanner (its a new one and these are the first scans i made with it)
