yep,it was a great year for facts. a huge improvement in all departments. the place was so much bigger and yet the place got jampacked very quick. prob another record turnout. so many months of anticipation and facts fly's by so fast. well,i guess its time to start the new countdown then, only a year to go till' the next 1.

I'm sorry to say but i was a little sad of this years edition. It was a great idea to change the location, but the organisation of the halls where (my opinion) not so good. The fact that te podium was in the middle of the merchandise made it a lot of work to pass by. Another thing was (also my opinion) that the actors where crammed in a corner and that there wasn't much room. You had one hall that was only for changing yout clothes? do something about that But beside those "negative points" facts was bigger and better. I even bought some thingies

It was AWESOME! There are always plusses and minusses, but I really had a good time. The toulets for handicaped are very, VERY, small, I got my wheelchair in and that was it. Not able to turn or sit on the toilet itself. So I shoved the wheelchair out, after a lot of cramming, and went to the toilet. Luckily I am not paralized and can still walk around, otherwise I do not know how I would have been able to use the toilet at all. More comic artists than actors, no problem by me. Keep going this strong FACTS staff and everybody around it, it was an awesome day!

I would like to thank all the visitors, cos-players,dealers,the core and my fellow crew-members.And also the people who were asking for free hugs. Oh and the actors and the cartoonists. I think it was one of the best editions. Its not obvious to move to another location but i think it did fine after all.Next year it will be even more fantastic.

It was great! (Frankly I am still exhausted of the FACTS weekend) I liked the location very much. For once I did not have to seek the train nor the place where are car was parked. Finding parking places in Ghent is not easy when it was organized in the ICC. ;-) There was a bigger variety in food, more drink/food places and more toilets. (3 different places) Which I found already a big improvement! Only sad that I did not have the time to pass hangar 3. I really wanted to buy some things. Better luck next time I suppose! *hopeful*

My very first F.A.C.T.S. and I'll be coming back for more ! But next time, make sure there's enough space around the catwalk. We were on the brink of suffocation. Oh, and a box in front for the photographers ;-) Great work, guys.

Things I complained about last year and will not complain about this year: (in other words: big improvements) - FOOD!!! It was delicious and the prize was also okay! (It's not cheap, but much better than I expect from con-food) - AIR!! It was - to me - comfortably warm and there was air in the building. Not like in the ICC where it could get claustrophobic in the dealer rooms and very hot to the point of sweating immensely. - COSPLAY STAGE! It looked large enough for most acts. Okay, still no room to do five flipflops in a row but I don't know a cosplayer that could do that in the first place. Still work to do about the lights + sound and exact location of the stage though... - COOL GUESTS!! Two super cool people as guests - Jimmy and Kevin - they are people I really consider "cool" - also the other two actor-guests were great - not a fan - but they were super with the fans. - COSPLAY JUDGES! For once it is announced (if only after the con) who is judging and from what I heard amongst the cosplayers, many people could understand the choices that had been made. That's cool. Makes me enthusiastic about entering the competition again in the future.
But ofcourse... there is still work to do to make FACTS even better!
A few suggestions:
- If dealers complain about the noise of the cosplay stage, move the cosplay stage further away from the dealers. How? Now, if left is where the cafetaria was and right is where the props and fanvillage were in hall 5, I would suggest keeping the cafetaria left (it can not move) - the dealers then besides it in the middle - then next to the dealers the fanvillage - and then to the very right the cosplay stage. This way the fanvillage would be inbetween the cosplay stage and the dealers and they should not complain as much about the noise. It is also more logical to put the cosplay stage in the fanvillage - it just fits together. I am sure the fanvillage will show more respect towards the cosplayers and the noise they make than the dealers will.
- Keep the cosplay inscriptions near the changing rooms. That way there are always FACTS crew near the changing rooms and this could scare off thieves and peeping toms.
- Apparantly cosplayers were scared to use the vestiaire - I have no idea why. Maybe they do not like to spend money to keep their possessions safe? I do not know if lockers can be provided for free... The thing with lockers is that normal people will want to use them too to store their collectables instead of walking to their car etc. I am not sure how this can be solved... Perhaps people could pre-order their lockers online or something?
- I am also a big supporter of Cosplay subscriptions online - and then I mean ONLY online, not at FACTS itself as well. One day the competition will explode and will not be done in time. By only accepting online subscriptions, it is possible to plan out the time and the acts much more efficiently. Possibly I would make an exception for kids - it is okay if they enter the competition at the convention itself.
- The FACTS Website - it can still be much better... It looks very 2002... It's 2009 now!
- Oh, put the actors not as near the toilets. ;-) You never know when the toilets are gonna stink and annoy the guests.

- FOOD!!! It was delicious and the prize was also okay! (It's not cheap, but much better than I expect from con-food) The food was awesome, the Expo's crew is to thank for that. True, the price was on the expensive side, but at least we got good sandwiches and hot food as well. They could really cheap down the coffee though, 2 euros for a regular cup of joe is way too much. The first time at the Expo, and the first time I put up the stage gear in here as well. When I got at the Expo on Friday, I didn't know exactly what to expect, let alone how the stage was actually going to look like. Eventually the gear was pretty much winged in place, and it looked OK. The lights had some problems with the sunlight coming from the windows, most of the time they ended up to be expensive decoration. And building the stage next year, I would also suggest, like a lot of people: RAMPS!!! Either that or place the cosplay stage on the short end of either hall (where the cafetaria was now), put up some seats, and put the fan village on the other end. It helps solve a lot of issues with the light and sound, people will notice the stage the instant they get in and the hall is wide enough on the narrow end to put the dressing room and actor's green rooms next to it. Second that, there was absolutely no security there right now. And if you change the inscription desk for 'costume competition' (show-off) entries only, volunteer time there is freed up a lot which can be used to secure the dressing rooms.
