You shouldn't have much trouble really 80% of those who come to F.A.C.T.S. should be able to correspond in english perfectly. I'd think it's like a second language for the majority.

No, I get that, it's the same at fedcon. I was just referring to general announcements, posters, signs, programmes, descriptions. You know,stuff to help you get around and on time. I'm sure people would be kind enough to answer if I ask them but I still wouldn't want to impose.

Also, it would suck to go alone. The first year I went to Fedcon I felt really lonely.

I've been to Fedcon for the first time in '09 and I'm planning a very special trip to Fedcon 20 for next year. Something involving a river and a ship called Enterprise.

IMO, English is the universal language when it comes to conventions. Especially on larger events like FACTS, FedCon or LFCC, you have a lot of international visitors.

That's the reason I wear the Union Jack on my Stargate uniform, even though I'm Dutch: People will address me in English first. ;D

Last year I brought my camera gear with me, to do some cosplay photography. I can't wait for next F.A.C.T.S. edition to take place and shoot tons of new cosplay pictures ! Oh, and of course buy lots of collectables and anime and meet special guests.

Anyway, this is me last year with Leeloo. And this is one of my galleries.

I had some ideas for a costume earlier this year. I wanted to go as the Resident Evil 4 merchant, or Spike Spiegel. But unfortunately, i have too little time to create something. Oh well, maybe next year i'll do some cosplay. :-)

I'm Lims, originally from some dead end village near Antwerp but now a proud occupant of the city of Ghent for 4 years ^^
I'm 22, study educational sciences at uni and am just geeky in general.

Pretty much a noob so far, but I'm getting there ^^ Most of my time is spent partying, playing WoW, listening to music (pref 50's and 60's) and general geekage like lots of gaming, anime, manga, comics and most of all: Batman ^^

2nd time for me at FACTS, though it will be my first time cosplaying seriously ^^ Can't wait *nervous*

Oh btw, I do have a real name, but I like Lims a lot more... I spend so much time online and on ventrilo anyway, I'm used to it =D
