Kristof Spaey was born and raised in Leuven, and studied Animation and Comics at the Saint-Luc in Brussels. He debuted in 2004 with 'Hoop' (BeeDee), a worldless comic about an insecure striptease dancer and her unanswered love for a charming portrait artist, made in cooperation with the German scriptwriter David Safier. Spaey has done contributions to 'BruXXXel Noord', a comic album by the comics atelier of the St. Luc in Brussels, and to the online comic magazine 'Pulp Deluxe.be'. His work also appeared in the print collection 'Pulp Deluxe Offline'. In 2006, he published his second book, 'Façade', at the publishing house Oogachtend. In 2009 "Misschien/Nooit" was published, written by Marc Legendre and drawn by Kristof. More info on Kristof's blog: kristofspaey.wordpress.com/

Stuff I'll be bringing along to sell: Copies of FaçadeUnfortunatly, copies of my other two comics, Hoop and Misschien/Nooit, are sold out. If you have a copy at home and don't have it signed already, be sure to bring it along. I'll happily draw a sketch in them. Two sketchbooks, collecting some of my life drawing sketches: Tekeningen Naar Model 4 (black & white) Tekeningen Naar Model 5 (full color) These sketchbooks are limited to 50 signed and numbered copies and are only available at signings. All albums (either comic or sketchbook) will be provided with a sketch. I'll also bring along a portfolio of original art that I will have for sale. These will be life drawing sketches I did for my sketchbooks. There are pieces in pencil, ink, inkwash and watercolor, in a few different sizes. See you all on sunday!
