Was 2 days sick, feeling better now. Check the forum and read about this. Best recovery ever.
The last couple of years you get an awesome Stargate guest(s) at FACTS, wich make me want to jump a hole in the roof. And just imagine this is just a beginning for this years guests. Me really like.

I am so happy that she'll be coming! She was awesome in SGA, and loved her work on Highlander : The Raven.

Not excited sadly...I am a big fan of Stargate (all 3 series), but last couple of them (ever since the last time we were in the ICC) were really dissapointing to meet. To stuck-up to pose for a quick picture with my own camera because they prefer the cash they get for the photoshoot...atleast Silas Carson (Nute Gunray from SW) said it right (that same last time in ICC): not going on picture while you pay for autograph? That is ridiculous.
So if she doesnt have a photoshoot I may consider, or else not.
Edit: Let me modify that: All except Teal'c - Christopher Judge, he was friendly, funny and everything a gueststar should be! Jewel Staite was friendly but after the dissapointment of Robert Picardo I didnt bothered to ask her.

That is ridiculous. So if she doesnt have a photoshoot I may consider, or else not. Most of the time it's not because of money concerns. For example, with Robert Picardo, he had quite some queues of people wanting his autograph, in contrast to Dirk, Dwight and Jewel (who have all been to a dozen European conventions before and everybody knows them). That's the reason why Robert or his PA might choose not to take any posed photographs during the autograph queue, not because they want to make so much money on the photo shoots, but simply because of time constraints. If everybody stops to take a photo and have a chat for 5 minutes, he'd be signing for days. Also, you might have dropped in at a moment when Jewel and Robert were about to prepare for their Q&A, so he simply didn't have the time to take photos with everyone. It's not because he doesn't want to do so, but because time is limited. If you want to stop for a photo and a chat, the smaller (lesser known) guests and the guests that have been to conventions before are a better bet. Simply because either not everyone wants their autograph and they LOVE someone who stops by for a chat during an empty queue (which is a good tip to do during Collectormania) or because everybody already has the guest's photo or autograph and they have little to do.

atleast Silas Carson (Nute Gunray from SW) said it right (that same last time in ICC): not going on picture while you pay for autograph? That is ridiculous. I'm still sad that I didn't go on a picture with Silas. After asking 3 actors for taking a picture with them and all 3 asking for money for it, I didn't bothered anymore to ask the other guests. Hearing afterwords that he would go for free on a picture with you, I was dissapointed.

Don S Davis (General Hammond) squeezed the living daylights out of my tin form in 2005 for a picture. Corin Nemec (Jonas Quinn) and I looked unbelievably goofy. When I went with Christopher Judge, the batteries of my camera gave out and he ushered me to take another just in case. Paul McGillion (Carson Beckett), much to the PA's annoyance, posed twice with me and my stuffed turtle named Carson. Cliff Simon (Ba'al) happily engulfed my sister in a hug that made her blush a beet red. With Jewel last year I went with the official photo-op by Aztek TV's own photographer - Francis, cause I'm actually too nervous to ask her for a photo... really my brain'll shut down entirely if I'm not careful. Did I do one with Robert... I can't even remember... So, I don't think I can agree with you on the not-wanting-to-take-a-picture... Fond memories, and more to add in just over two months.

Trust me, this isnt my first rodeo with autographs and I do know this Still they were dissapoitning, even when I came to them at times that it was not busy and they all said it was their agent who told them to...lame excuse still to me. Finn: Well you are a female and I am sure that helps to. After all Cliff Simon and Beckett were really friendly to a Slave Leia cosplayer also who came not so long after me....but hey, good for you To sum up: Don S Davis and Corin Nemec: Great indeed, as they should be, still friendly and going on pics while moving the line as quick as possible in a non irritating way. Same goes for Alexis Cruz whom I met during Screenheroes. Morena Baccarin, Beckett and Simon: Very dissapointing and unfriendly to me, without their agent next to them (or a big line line behind me) even so its not like they couldnt have done it. Judge: Very warm and friendly, good example. Picardo: Final straw for me Staite: Unfair to judge her on this, in other aspects she was nice anyway. So I sitl lhope no more fotoshoots...

Wait wait wait, we can actually ask the guests if we can get on a picture together with them at their table? I thought that wasn't allowed anymore since the addition of the photoshoot. (Which I'm totally against btw, we already pay quite some money for an autograph, the least they can do is get their picture taken as well ). I've got no complaints of guests in the past. Silas Carson, Kevin Sorbo, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Christopher Judge, Leah Cairns, all very friendly people I have a great picture off. I don't mind paying 5 euros extra (as I did for Judge and Sorbo), but I'm not paying more than that. I remember Baccarin asking 10€ to get our picture taken, I think she's an awesome actress but that's simply too much

The people who sit next to the actors COMMANDED that we HAD TO BUY tickets for the photoshoot. Those were not the regular FACTS people but their dutch collegues. Some of them also sit at the tables. Much has changed sinds they work together... But I have to say: the pics are in good quality... but small. and about the photoshoot with the Allo Allo actors... the pics don't have the right colors, too magenta. That was really NOT proffesional. Not even a background! Not worth the money. So, this year I try to get a pic at the table and see how everthing goes. We should open a picture topic ;D

I think Finn will have little trouble just fluttering her puppy-eyes at a few PA's and get some photos taken. ;D
Some PA's will refuse people from taking photos at the autograph queue, not because they want to, but because they are required to from either the organisation or the actor's agency. The agency receives a commission when they sell an autograph and when they do photo shoots.
I will have to disagree with the quality on the photo shoots. Even though they have less of a backdrop than on other conventions, that doesn't mean the photos are bad. Although I did notice a hint of magenta overexposure during my shoot with Jewel, but this is easy to fix with filters or slightly better lighting.
Do keep in mind that the photo shoot area at FACTS has to be improvised slightly since there is no way to set up a controlled environment when it comes to lighting. The venue doesn't allow it, just as it doesn't allow the same thing to happen on stage.
