I think Finn will have little trouble just fluttering her puppy-eyes at a few PA's and get some photos taken. ;D Some PA's will refuse people from taking photos at the autograph queue, not because they want to, but because they are required to from either the organisation or the actor's agency. The agency receives a commission when they sell an autograph and when they do photo shoots. I will have to disagree with the quality on the photo shoots. Even though they have less of a backdrop than on other conventions, that doesn't mean the photos are bad. Although I did notice a hint of magenta overexposure during my shoot with Jewel, but this is easy to fix with filters or slightly better lighting. Do keep in mind that the photo shoot area at FACTS has to be improvised slightly since there is no way to set up a controlled environment when it comes to lighting. The venue doesn't allow it, just as it doesn't allow the same thing to happen on stage. Keep in mind that the pic with the Allo' actors were done by an other photographer. Realy NOT GOOD. You talk about the pic with the other guests (Stargate, A-team, Hellraiser, Neverending story, Terminator). Those were very good quality but... A5 format....  |

Wait wait wait, we can actually ask the guests if we can get on a picture together with them at their table? I thought that wasn't allowed anymore since the addition of the photoshoot. (Which I'm totally against btw, we already pay quite some money for an autograph, the least they can do is get their picture taken as well ). I've got no complaints of guests in the past. Silas Carson, Kevin Sorbo, Jimmy Jean-Louis, Christopher Judge, Leah Cairns, all very friendly people I have a great picture off. I don't mind paying 5 euros extra (as I did for Judge and Sorbo), but I'm not paying more than that. I remember Baccarin asking 10€ to get our picture taken, I think she's an awesome actress but that's simply too much Same here. The people who sit next to the actors COMMANDED that we HAD TO BUY tickets for the photoshoot. Those were not the regular FACTS people but their dutch collegues. Some of them also sit at the tables. Much has changed sinds they work together... But I have to say: the pics are in good quality... but small. and about the photoshoot with the Allo Allo actors... the pics don't have the right colors, too magenta. That was really NOT proffesional. Not even a background! Not worth the money. So, this year I try to get a pic at the table and see how everthing goes.  We should open a picture topic ;D maybe the FACTS gods could answer the question? Can we get a picture at the tables or not? Would be great to know |

Would be great to know Not an official statement, but: As far as I know, that depends on the policy of the actor, PA (personal assistant) and agency in question. For example, on one occasion on FACTS, Paul McGillion and Cliff Simon allowed photos to be taken at their signing table, where some of the other actors did not. |

And even then they can change their minds apparently cause the same Paul McGillion and Cliff Simon werent allowing photos to be taken when I was there. So I guess it all depends on what mood they are in.

It may be that the actors wanted to take posed pictures as much as the fans do, but their assistants or their agency pulled them out because they were missing revenue on the photo shoots, or wasting time not doing any signing. Remember, it can be quite fun for the guests as well, but in the end it's still all business. |

I just want to say that she is my favourite guest so far.
And I have never watched an episode of Stargate Atlantis.
She is just so friendly, so fun, so spontaneous, so enthusiastic!! She was awesome with her fans, also for the photoshoots she was really loose with everyone, did funny poses if requested, just awesome.
I was volunteering at the photo boot, so I was really in awe of her awesomeness. ;-) She totally rocked!

Best guest of this year. Got my autograph of her at the end of Saturday and had a great talk with her. Beginning with Star Wars (because of my shirt), then about Belgium and Los Angeles.
Really friendly and fun in general. But that's common with both Stargate and Firefly guests.

She told me she would love to return. I don't know if she was saying that just to flatter us, or if she really meant it. But I think she really meant it. ;-)
Same goes for Dirk Benedict, by the way, haha. Maybe it's a good idea to start working with "ambassadors" like they have on the Elf Fantasy Fair in the Netherlands? Stanislav Ianevski is an actor who loves it there and likes to go back, so they've made him an ambassador, so he pops around every few years. I believe that two years ago he also helped present or judge at the costume competition there...
Just giving some ideas. ;-)

she had a short talk with most people that visited her.
she told me that she had been walking around around in ghent for several hours on friday and loves the city alot,she was also fond of the beerhouses.
apparently she came to belgium as a kid with her parents aswell.
she also felt guilty for taking a break to lunch while there was still a long line .
so she decided to have a quick lunch and return.
