Hi Anime-Fans ^^,
I like to come to FACTS but I've got some question...

- Are there allot of Naruto goods?
- Are there many cosplay people around there?

Yes there will be a lot of animé-goodies (and also from Naruto) and ...
Yes, there will be cosplayers (almost all the members from Fanclub Sakura will be there in cosplay.
I also will be there white a talbe full with cosplaystuff to buy.

Cool...it's my firts time so...i don't wanna look 'weird' you know...i think i've got to buy some cosplay clothes...because i live in Belgium and here aren't that many anime shops where you can buy that...
I hope i can change my clothes in there...but issn't it expensive that cosplay clothes?...and do you sell something from naruto? ;D

I've been on FACTS as cosplayer the last three years and I can say that, well... you wíll look weird, but at least you'll look weird in group.
The cost of cosplay costumes depends on what you want, really. I'm not at home in the anime/manga costumes, but more in the movie-ones, so I'm not quite sure about what prices for these are.

Apart from that, it's also important to decide what you'll do with your costume once you have it. It's no use spending hundreds of Euros of your only goal is to save on the FACTS ticket price, of course.

Fénicia would be a good person to help you with anime/manga costuming.

Looks like the amount of manga/anime cosplayers is steadily growing. Personally, I think that's a wonderful thing. Our group plans on bringing at least 150 cosplayers, but most of those are from Star Wars. I like encouraging people to come to conventions in non-Star Wars costumes, for counter-balance. It is safe to say that 150 people is quite a large number no? And that's just BCD. Knowing that there will be a lot more cosplayers that aren't part of our club, I think it's safe to say there will be a LOT of cosplayers @ FACTS this year.

So, by all means, do not be afraid to come out in the open with those costumes from Naruto or whatever other manga/anime.

Also, more non-Star Wars contestants in the costuming contest are welcome! Those categories don't fill that easily, but the competition in them does get tougher every year!

You'll won't be the only one cosplaying from Naruto, as one of the members from fanclub Sakura will be there as Sakura from that same show.

Since most cosplayers like being seen in their costumes anyway, taking their picture shouldn't be a problem. And if you ask them, they will happily oblige and even pose with you.
Especially cosplayers who do events regularily are used to that kind of stuff.

Hehe I'm really excited and looking forward to it too. I've been to the facts last year, and the only anime I knew at that time was Rurouni Kenshin. Now I've seen around 30 other series too (with naruto as my 2nd favorite ^^), I wonder who I will recognize I remember seeing Ichigo from Bleach last year (with his huge sword )
I probably will cosplay too, for the very first time ^^ Normally I'm going as Saito Hajime from Kenshin, I hope it works out well
btw, is it allowed to carry a (dull) sword?

Ha! I'm so lucky ~_~ I'm starting college in Ghent this year (since I'm from Holland) and I can pretty much walk to the I.C.C!

Anyway, what I was posting for: I'm thinking of going as Shikamaru ~_~ Depends if I can scrape his clothes together before the 15th/16th.

I think it might be possible, but that all depends on whether I find the base clothes soon (and if I buy them now, while I'm still at home, my mom'll freak. She think anime/manga/cosplay is weird and a waste of time/money, so.) and that won't be a big deal, if I can find the right stores -_-;

And MajinMarron, who cares if you're not skinny enough! Heck, Shika's skinny as hell, and I'm a girl, so I'll never be as skinny as I need to be ~_~ I was planning on cosplaying as him to a Dutch convention, but that's a whole year away, and I want to do it now! As for the hair, maybe extensions? Or otherwise a wig.

Yes. But find the original Japanese one's, don't go see the dub, because that doesn't really give a good image of the show we love. Older episodes might be little harder to find, but I can suggest NarutoFan, the only problem there is that the older ep's can only be downloaded if you have a PLUS account (which costs you money). Maybe other Naruto sites have them. As long as you have Bittorrent, it's not that hard.

But if you want to see it, you'd better get started, because we're up for episode 151 today
