The sequel of the movie transformers will be called :
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Plot: (Spoilers)
The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.

So far the only announced transformer is the Decepticon, Soundwave. I hope this is true.
While speaking with MTV news T2 director Michael Bay revealed "upwards of 20 robots will do battle in the sequel" also stating that he will focus on how the robots will be more fully and individually realized than on the number of robots. Which means will will not only see more giant robot death matches, but a far more in depth analysis of the bots (weapons, background, types of machine, etc...). "The robots are going to surprise a lot of people because we go with a lot of different levels," he said.
Speculation centers on Arcee and Astrotrain joining the Autobots, as potential vechicles for these characters have been spotted on set
