RON MARZ:

The original artist on #110, Matt Haley, had to bow out due to his work on "Who Wants to be a Superhero" being moved up by a couple of months. My buddy Luke Ross stepped in at the eleventh hour to draw the issue. So what we're likely to do is move #111 into the #110 slot, since they both work in terms of the timing of First Born.

There was also a death in my family, which set my schedule back a bit.

Jonboy Meyers will be the artist on NECROMANCER: PS, and I think you'll dig his stuff...Francis handpicked him to take over, in fact!

Pangaean Sea 10: Here's a surprise - got a call on Wednesday from our
bindery (the guys that staple it together) says they are not done
with the book. We're looking at Friday at the earliest for delivery
to our distributors, and I have a gut feeling it may be Monday.
We'll see. The book will be on our website in about a week or so for
ordering - but as I tell everyone who asks - we strongly encourage
you to get your local comic shop to order the books for you! We fill
every single order or re-order the distributors send us, down to
single copy orders, so no matter what, your local shop should be able

Prehistoric Pinups #5 Internet Exclusive: This actually DID come in
on Wednesday. We're starting work on preparing them for shipping
now, and we'll start shipping to everybody at the end of this week
and all next week.

Hey all,

I have been talking a bit with the über-friendly and drive publisher of my beloved Cavewoman-comics, namely Kevin Alsop (http://www.amryl.com) and asking him about the plans for CAVEWOMAN QUEST FOR KLYDE.

He was willing to share that the plans are kinda like this:

1] "CW; Quest For Klyde"; a black and white comic which leads to
2] Heavy Metal Magazine #??; a colored magazine-sized (duh!) story which is actually "Quest for Klyde" part two...which leads to
3] a B/W comic that ends the storyline of "Quest for Klyde"

I just love love love the way this is being handled and ofcourse can not wait for it to arrive! But as fans of Budd Root know, Root is not a very fast artist. He IS worth the wait though!!!

So we could all see in the latest Diamond Previews that the first part will be sollicited but when the other parts will be published is still a big question mark. One reason is ofcourse the speed of the artist but also Heavy Metal needs to bring the story in its sollicitation-schedule ofcourse. And most likely there will also be a variant Heavy Metal Magazine cover by Root!! Now how is THAT for a cool scoop!!!!

Anyway, the complete story will eventually be compiled into one big comic OR magazine-sized issue AND IN FULL COLOR. I am actually hoping on a big comic, since it fits better on the shelf with the other comics of Meriem, but I will let bigger brains then mine figure that out

Anyway....Root is worth the wait and these are most definitely things I will never tire of waiting for!!!!

PANGEAN SEA NEWS: #12 will be the last of the series and Meriem will return to the jungle with a new #1 and from that point on it will be published full color. First the "Quest For Klyde" though

oo...and probably also Blond Medusa in 2009
