Preacher, I think you've made several worthy comments and there's quite some points where I agree with you. But you're NOT very constructive in your way of expressing your point of view. I'm afraid that this way, you're just pissing off the people you're trying to convince. Again, I think you're not always completely wrong, but you're not always handling it the best way (I do agree with you though that the language bit was a low blow!). This is my opinion, of course.  This being said, I find it a bit sad that being as few European comic fans as we are these days, we're still fighting amongst ourselves instead of working together to a common goal. I mean, Lille, FACTS... why not just attend both? Heck, if I could I would rather go to Chicago or San Diego, but I'm happy and thankful that a group of people are doing their best to at least give me a convention I CAN go to, be it at Lille or Gent. |

Ok I have been harsh with some of the forumers here, but I made my point and add some excuses about posting something I should have not, but see here the second post. They think I'm a retarded, ok fine by them, is that a way to treat people they don't know about, ok I have been complaining about a guest,but I "knew" him. So "I" can. Maybe I should have not! But sometimes I'm impulsive,who's not. And by the way you don't know the story.
Please go to Lille and will explain myself on the subject. Just ask for me.
Why shouldn't I attend FACTS this year because (and I'm not the only one complaining here) the guests are not the ones I would have expected.
I quite sure the people organizing FACTS have others fishs to fry than taking care about comics.
Cosplay is much better.
Well I prefer circus ,but it's my point of view.
Let's Belgium be Belgium and not America. See yourselves for a minute, it's fine yes ,funny too.
But creativly irrelevant.
Want to see an other point, just see the comic book "Lobo Convention Special" sometimes it's on the second degree and sometimes on the first degree.
By the way you talked about Lille but before there's Valenciennes with Yu,Pearson,Pagulayan,Robertson,Cheung.
Rookies...no PROS.

But leave everyone to decide for themselves whether they want to go or not, instead of all this trying to win them inside your camp; something which oviously isn't working all too well. It's becoming extremely annoying.

I stopped argueing with him on the forum, and then he started sending me personal messages with further abuse. I explicitly told him to go "fornicate" himself, but he just kept on going. Read what he sent me (just a sample): That's all the problem with you Flams (or whatever you write it i don't f**king care) people,thinking you're so superior from the others belgians people.
You see you're a Flams Bloke (put intended).
Have fun in FACTS 2006 and please don't try to go to Risjel it's far too good for you. Anyway, this is the last time I waste effort on dorks like this. Why he is still on this forum is beyond me... |

My guess is the administrators are too busy organising FACTS, to notice constant abuse from kids like this one. ;D
Oh, and even though I'll probably have to run around like a headless chicken all the time, I wíll have fun at FACTS and I'm pretty sure Toyzilla will as well (the having fun part, not the headless chicken part).

Whenever you participate in a part of a con, running around like a headless chicken is not only acceptable, but apparently also required. I remember milling around like a zombie, wishing I had five pairs of hands. Having retired with honors from the team, I now run my booth, and finally have the time to see events, buy goodies for myself, etc. My only problem is: not enough $$$$! So much to buy... So rest assured: Toyzilla will have fun at FACTS. |

I'm closing this topic altogether. As several of you pointed out, this has stopped being constructive.
Preacher, it would be much appreciated if you would stop sending PM's like the one quoted above. FACTS has always had a cool and fan-friendly atmosphere, so insults like the ones you sent to Toyzilla are definitely not compatible with our show (nor with a normal style of conversation I would like to add).
