although his message is in Dutch, he does have a interesting question. -Is there still a possibility that Facts adds another artists to the list?

We´ll see. We at FACTS think we have already a maximum of artists for this year.
It´s not because that artists are not famous for the general public that they won't do great sketches.
In the FACTS-past, queues for unknown but talented artists like Jerome Alquie and Chris Evenhuis never stopped for all day while the queue for Ezquerra (the most famous comic artist at FACTS yet ) was very very small. How do you explain this?

I don't think that Chris Evenhuis is a 'unknown' artist. He has done a Darkness comic for Top Cow and will soon be published in a Heavy Metal magazine. My problem with these two artist (LeRoux & Guille) is that they haven't done any proffessional work (worth mentioning). (to be blunt) They are 'wanna-be artists' (a matter of opinion if they are talented or not), but they are not proffessional comic artists. I guess they will be doing decent sketches, because they have no fan base. But you do not invite 'wanna-be actors' to the conventions, because fans do not care for them ..why does it do happen with the comic artists??? All in all hopefully you'll consider 1 or 2 extra artists this year

hay sorry for my non english post above.i didnt know it wasnt allowed.. it saddenns me to read that the bill has been filled. there are many great movie actors there, but for the comic section there arent as many names as in the past years. i do hope that u will ask pat mills if he might be able to bring along an other known comicartists. as for the point that LeRoux & Guille are good sketch artists.. well maybe u shouldnt post em all over.. cuase they are not names that are people are gonna come to a convention for.. this year u have just 1 comic artist. tucci. and mills but he;s a writer. so once again i hope u'll ask mills or try to find some nearby artists that might be interested. there are some other smaller names that have released comics/graphic novels that still live in france or germany.. hopefully u'll add an other (small / Yet published) name to the bill:) eventhou LeRoux & Guille may look promissing .. they are just not published comic artists. i just keep the hope going:) maybe there will be a great supprise

LEROUX has done numerous very cool French and also one US comic...
Notably is the artwork for the oneshot "Witchblade: Blood Oath" which has dreamingly gorgeous artwork so I am quite happy to see him coming over!!!

'LEROUX has done numerous very cool French and also one US comic...' Non of the French friends/ fellow Art (and comic) collectors have heard of him. i never heard of him and I couldn't find anything worth mentioning on the internet.
'PS just wait and see who we get lined up for 2007' ..right some Power Ranger wanna-be's and some drunk blind artists???

''PS just wait and see who we get lined up for 2007' ..right some Power Ranger wanna-be's and some drunk blind artists??? No, some exceedingly cool comic artists who are huge and which you would love to see. Although, I have this impression that, once we'll announce them, you'll only criticise them anyway ... I would seriously appreciate it if you could raise the level of conversation some more. Insulting our guests is not the way to express yourself on this forum. You don't like our choice of guests ? Fine, don't bother coming to FACTS then. But there's no point in posting reply after reply to insult our guests, our choice of guests and the way we organise our convention. @ Bacchus : I just read some of your other posts and I noticed that you developed a more reasonable approach in those, which I do appreciate.

I have been visiting Facts for several years, so I guess I have a right to a opinion. Of course if it is negative it isn't always nice to hear/read, but it is not ment insulting. When i read Big suprise and Big names, I expect something. 'No, some exceedingly cool comic artists who are huge and which you would love to see. Although, I have this impression that, once we'll announce them, you'll only criticise them anyway ...'Nah ..if they are REAL comic artists I wouldn't mind. Bill Tucci isn't my taste (I liked him 10 years ago), but I think it is cool that you invited him ..he IS a comicartist. Same goes for Pat Mills (only to bad he is a writer ..no sketch). I would seriously appreciate it if you could raise the level of conversation some more. Insulting our guests is not the way to express yourself on this forum.I have already posted this in a previous post. I am not trying to insult the artists (I think Guille is a VERY nice person ..just no real artist). You don't like our choice of guests ? Fine, don't bother coming to FACTS then. But there's no point in posting reply after reply to insult our guests, our choice of guests and the way we organise our convention. ..again if I am negative, it doesn't directly mean insulting. + as a frequent Facts visitor I have a right to express my feeling about Facts 2006 ..even if I think it is crappy:) ps. please do not close all negative topics ..it undermines the freedom of expression

At least it's balanced. It's just that there have been a few people posting negative comments around lately and even sending around hostile PM's (and by hostile I do mean hostile), hence I'm a little "on edge". Well, if you've been to our show for the last few years, you've noticed (at least I hope so) that we're trying to create a convention for the fans. I honestly know little to no other conventions which allocates so much space to fan activities. So, it is indeed a deception when people are disappointed by our choice of artists and express it in a more or less vehement way. Take into account that it's never easy to cater for all fans. If you invite a big SW name, you'll get disappointed reactions from the Star Trek fans. If we secure a cool LOTR actor, people who like BSG will ask when their favorite actor will show up, etc. The same goes here : some people are thrilled to see W. Tucci, others don't. We can't please everyone. But rest assured that there will be other guests announced and that we already booked some very cool comic artists for 2007 as well. But that is for next year obviously! I hope you will attend our show this year as well.

Sure a PM means nothing here, since some of you decided to divulge their on the forum. Personal case turned into a general one. Does anybody knows what means the P in PM. As for the insult it was for one and only one person not everyone here if you know what i mean. By the way my great grand father's name is Van Minden, see my point now, i hope so. Perhaps i have more belgian blood running through my veins than certain people here (in hope you take that well,I mean no offense). Since you close a certain thread and I couldn't reply or explain myself, I'm posting here. I just hope my comment will not be delete. Thank you.

Same goes for Pat Mills (only to bad he is a writer ..no sketch). well...during his early years (see the first SHI tpb) I actually thought he was crappy... but seeing his art develop and still loving his Darkchylde/Battlebook-cover and seeing his mayor MARVEL-project I thought he was a great choice...I sure hope my pick (FACTS picks) for next year will bring some more love to this forum

My final word on this: if somebody calls me a "Flams Bloke", I am deeply offended. It is not an insult to be taken lightly, even in a PM. I made it clear from the start I didn't want you sending me PMs, which you did anyway. The only reason you got peeved off is because I wouldn't give you my list of FACTS dealers. So if you insist upon using these insults, at least come out in the open with it. Anyway, I have decided to adopt the only adult approach to this conundrum: if language like this is allowed in this forum, even with a little slap on the wrist from the management, I no longer wish to be part of it. I'm getting too old for this kind of cr@p, and have better things to do, such as clipping my toenails. In the meantime, I leave you to the constructive preachings of others... Forum-master: please remove me from your member list. Toyzilla has left the building! (sound of door slamming shut and Tokyo being stomped upon)

No, it isn't and it wàs deleted and it wasn't the first time something like this happened. But let's not forget the administrators here are the main responsibles for organising FACTS, thus they don't have a lot of time to go over the forum, never mind having to filter out everything and start issuing bans.

(sound of door slamming shut and Tokyo being stomped upon) Concerning your list of dealers it's completely false, I think you should re read your PM. I already got my own list of dealers, sorry for you, you get to much credit of yourself. By the way, have you a sense of humour, no I don't think so! Too bad for you, I got one, even if it's too harsh for you to distinguish first to second degree. End of story for me too.
