This is indeed all very true. The best thing to do at FACTS is shop around a while, and you can find out who the "good" dealers are. And it are not those who tell you straight off "this figure costs 250€ because it's very rare". They almost had me last year, but I decided to think it over and found some stuff I liked even more a bit later, at much better prices... I also learned quite quickly that Super Dragon Toys can go wayyyy over the top with their prices ("originals, hard to come by!)

This is just in. Bandai HongKong has confirmed they are planning a re-issue of the Poseidon Mariners as well, including an all new figure: the Wyvern Specter Rhadamantys. Get your wallets ready.

Yep, saw those pics allready too, Radamanthys looks GREAT And also for redition: the 3 steelsaints, accompanied by Eagle, foreseen somewhere in september Let's hope for Bronze3, and maybe Bronze Kamui, and the biggest dream of all: Hades and Athena in God cloths! But that's just dreaming By the way Steven: you weren't planning on selling any CustomZero Rhadamantys I hope, with these new Bandai ones it would be hard to find a buyer....

Nope, I would hardly be advertizing this one if I was trying to sell the other one, would I? No, I'be taken both their Specters of my little wantlist for the moment, as I get the feeling Bandai HK will continue to develop Hades as a property, and with the Sanctuary part the only part released in anime form so far, the 3rd version of the Bronze Cloths or some "minor" Specters like Papillon or Cyclops would be the next logical choice. I've had a little talk with CustomZero as well, and their feelings are much the same: they seem to be returning to Silver Saints and to more female figures.

Pisces Is it possible that dragon shop had a location in Laeken (some time ago). It appears that a trading card version of saint seiya exist. Is it similar than Magic the gathering? Do you have any other cool sites about saint seiya toys

I haven't played the trading card game, but I think it is less complicated than MagictheGathering (since it's meant to be for kids), but I'm not sure about that I'm not at home right now, but when I get there, I'll see if I can find some more sites;)

Flurk Well, Bt'x is also a manga by Masami Kurumada (creator of saint seiya), that's also adapted to anime. i've got some volumes, and the storyline is about a young guy (a Seiya lookalike) who's brother is kidnapped by some large corporation. He's accompanied by a large mechanical Dragon (= BT'x), with whome he goes to rescue his brother. The storyline follows the same structure as saint seiya: he needs to pass different areas, guarded by , well, guardians ;D, who get stronger the further he gets. I don't know any sites about Bt'x, try google

I'm bringing back a year old topic because many other Saints have been releases by now and many others will follow Even France has quite some Myth Cloth released via Bandai France (why cant Belgium be that lucky, we only get Power Ranger crap)
Last one I got was Shiryu V3, magnificent figure which uses the new bodystyle (just like Seiya V3)

Hi Cyclonex! Have you seen the pictures for the Aldebaran Myth Cloth? That's one BIG fellow! A recent Japanese article suggested Bandai would use the same mold for making Geki the Bear and Gamma Thor, so we still have plenty to look forward to.

I've seen the pics indeed also official Jabu and Ichi pictures are out at www.tamashii.jp/seiya/index.htmlI have some of those pics at a larger scale what I'm looking most forward to are the femal bodies, normally we would have gotten Shaina next month, but Bandai decided otherwise ps: call me Cyke

Okay Cyke ;D Yeah, great, aren't they? I've always been somewhat of a Jabu fan, so I'm certainly looking forward to that one. As for Shaina, Bandai probably didn't want to go through the trouble of creating yet another new body mold after Seiya v3 and Aldebaran. I think we can expect her somewhere in spring 2006, after they've finished off the Goldies and the Bronzies v3.

You live in Ostend, Flurk? I was in Koksijde / De Panne a couple of weeks ago, and there were plenty of Gashapon vending machines carrying the Gold Saints at 2 euro/piece.

It all depends on what kind of toy you are looking for.
If you're looking for Gashapons, they will cost you between 2 and 8 euro each (there are some rare ones, such as Athena, Poseidon or Ikaros).
If you're looking for Bandai Hongkong's reissues of the vintage toys, they usually go for 25 to 60 euro (the only exceptions being the reissues of the Grand Pope and the original Sagittarius from the early episodes, which were limited release mail-in toys, and are significantly more expensive). The old vintage toysare probably the most expensive of all, ranging from 30 to 700 euro, depending on the figure, but I didn't see much of them that year.
If you're looking for Myth Cloths, they go for 45 to 90 euro depending on the store (the Bronze are the cheapest, Rhadamanthys and Libra are the most expensive).
The best thing you can do, is to make a round of the entire convention first and compare prices before you actually buy something.
As for Episode G, to answer Flurk's question, it's a prequel manga series, currently translated in French by Generation Comics, which takes place 7 years before the main series and tells of the Gold Saints first major battle against the Titans. It is quite good once you get past a slow first volume, and gives lots of little info on the Saints, their techniques and life in the Sanctuary which were absent in the old series. It is however not drawn by Masalmi Kurumada (he just wrote the script), but by Megumu Okada, best known for "Shadow Skill".
