Sure you can buy (SW) trading cards at F.A.C.T.S. As for the prices, my advice would be to take the tour first, before you start buying anything. 'cause prices can differ a lot from one dealer to another. And that's something which is not limited to trading cards.

and where can you usually find those dealers with trading cards? In the comic-section?
Or are all the F, A, C, T and S - tables/delaers mixed?

Or are all the F, A, C, T and S - tables/delaers mixed? In all those years I've been to FACTS, it never appeared to me as if there were clear sections for the different topics. So yes, I would say they are mixed. I guess one of the reasons for this is that most dealers sell items from different categories. For example, somebody selling comics, is often also selling toys, fantasy, trading cards etc...

well
In Essen you had this comic section and the rest was Spiel/toys...
hence...
But this is more fun!!
Anyways..I would be pleased to see a map of the place and all of the dealers/artist/actors though...
Created a topic on that already!

thx for the information. Are there another people who collect cards? Maybe you can tell me how tournements are getting played and what are the ruzels? You're welcome. I used to collect trading cards (read trading cards, not gaming cards), mostly comic related stuff. I guess I still do to a certain extend, but that market has kind'a dried up. Not many comic based series coming out anymore. There is of course the new VS. system, but that's a card game, which I'm not really into as I'm already collecting way too much other stuff. As for rules, I would say that depends on the game. My little nephew has tried to explain me the Yu-Gi-Ho game rules, but that stuff is quite complicated. I noticed though that last year, there was a separate section where people were playing card games. I'm sure there's plenty of people there willing to give you more information about this subject. And if I'm not mistaken, the same month as FACTS, there's also another convention around card and board games.

Well...GAME cards are a game...just like poker you could say. It is a cardgame with rules, tournements, players and the cards all have their distinct 'powers'
Trading cards are just cards with pictures on them...
Those can be Playboy-bunnies, basketball-stars, Manga-stuff, Bikers- or carpictures or anything you can think off...most movies come out with trading cards also which is mostly a series of 50-100 cards retelling the movie with movie-stills/images on the front and some retelling in words on the back...
I sometimes collect art like from Heavy Metal (a magazine), Luis Royo (a fantasy artist), Linsner (a comicbookartist), TopCow (a comicbookpublisher) or Joe Jusko (fatasy artist)
And when you are missing some cards of your desired series and you have doubles on others...then you can TRADE...hence trading cards!!
