I admit it: I'm a sucker for these fabulous, ultra-articulated, minuscule action figures and their world of accessories. Am I the only one here? Can't be, I seem to remember having seen the word MICROMAN being used somewhere. Early this year I began shooting little Micro-Adventures. If you're intersted, feel free to visit my Youtube channel. But don't expect too much - they really are low budget and not really to be compared with all the hi-tec, glitzy, professional work some of the stars on YouTube can do. de.youtube.com/profile_videos?user=MicromanfanOh yeah - and should you check out my wife's Cowgirl Nancy kit you may find the background music sounds something familiar. But that's not the real point - The real point is: Who (besides me) collects these toys? What particular series or subset are you especially fond of? Are there any characters or designs you absolutely love/hat? Let's hear it.

I'm a fan of Microman, especially the Microforce series (started in 2003) my collection is focused on the female figures, even the Material Force figures & exclusives it's a shame TakaraTomy quit the line Especially when some announded figures won't see a release, and the new female action body was so great for animecharacters besides these new ones I have 3 older magneforce mechas www.microforever.com/acromonster.htma site that you shoudl visit: www.microforever.com/main.htmEveryone is so fond of Revoltech & Figma these days, but no-one seems to know about the very articulated Microman, especially for their size! before I forget, I made 2 custom Microman figures, based on Transformers characters from Superlink: smg.photobucket.com/albums/v338/Superlink/Superlink/Nekomimi/you can se which figure I used as a base

FanDARN!!tastic conversions.
I can't do stuff like that.
Microforever was a page I frequently visited while TAKARA kept issuing new MICROs. But since the line went on hiatus I haven't been there much.
Yes, these Acromonsters are great - I've got lots of toys from the Magneforce series but need time to take photos.
And I still need to get some Acroyears from that sub-line. Thanks for reminding me. There must be some offered on Yahoo!Japan.
I especially love the transformable Playstation. Lots of play value in this toy.

thanks for the comments do you happen to know if Takara Tomy ever gave out any official info about why they quit Microman? and if they intend to start over? (they did restart Transformers Binaltech..)

Binaltech ROCKS!
About why the MiCROMAN line went on hiatus I'm as much in the dark as anybody.
I guess it's all got to do with the TAKARA/TOMY merger. Maybe some of the new powers-that-be decided the line wasn't selling well enough.
On the other hand: As far as I know it's just a hiatus and not a permanent stop. Maybe they'll continue producing toys once the merger is totally said and done. After all, TAKARATOMY is now a gigantic company and things like this take time.
But, as I said, that's all guesswork.
Let's just hope for the best. MICROMAN alsways has been a great line and well-respected merchandise. So, hopefully, they're gonna bring it back just for prestige's sake.

I thought so as well, ever since the merger the releases were postponed, even for Transformers (and it's still happening now) they do keep on making Yatterman Deluxe vehicles that are compatible with the Microman figures of Yatterman (even though those action figures were not sold under the name 'Microman') and I'm still hoping for a Votoms Brutishdog with pink suited Fianna

Yep, there's a lot of stuff out there you can use as MICRO-accessories. That's something that really adds to the appeal of the MICROs.

Ah, yes, that thing.
Darn.
Makes me glad I stuck with Supes and Battie (Ok, and some of the Tatsunoko characters).

found some info: groups.yahoo.com/group/Micropolis_Embassy/they would like to celebrate the 35th Microman anniversary, but if you check message #49147 you'll find one reason why there weren't any releases (you need to become a member of tha group to read the message)

Coolies, I just found out my Yahoo!-ID from years ago is still good.
Now I'll wait for their confirmation.

Thought you might like to see this beauty: Just after the Hobby Expo (or whatever it is called) in Kobe I managed to snatch this on Yahoo!Japan - a resin kit allowing you to change a standard military force MICROMAN into SUPER MECHA ROBOT MACHINE Z. This kit is even licensed by TAKARA-TOMY and a Military Force MICROMAN was even inluded with the auction. If you're interested I'll let you know once it's finished.

ack, sorry, havent visited the forum for a long time :'D I'm not that intrested in the vintage look, I prefer by far the modern Microman (but this one you posted, does it need a new Microman figure for the amor?) too bad they didn't do anything for the 30th aniversary

Yep, that's part of the fun - you need a MILITARY FORCE Microman as the "core".
And then you pimp it using the resin pieces.
BTW, here's my latest microfilm:

amazing!
I remember my older nephew used to make videos like these featuring batman and spiderman. Although yours is a totally different level. ^^ The backgrounds are nicely thought of and the sound keeps you interested.
Now i'm wondering, the music is all downloaded? Or do you make certain sounds yourself?

do you know the series Robot Chicken? it's all about stop motion movies made with all kinds of action figures and action dolls, you'll love it! (it's about 3 years old now and aired in the US on Adult Swim)

Thanks for the nice words.
Hmnoo, I'm neither a musician nor a sound engineer.
I get the sound effects from various internet sources where you can download whatever you need (provided you'll find it - the "razzing sound" was my hardest search yet).
The music stems from my CD and vinyl collection. I just love soundtrack recordings. All in all I have several hundreds of CDs and about (counting all Singles, Maxis, Mini-LPs and LPs) 1000 vinyl records (and still keep buying from flea markets). So there's no need to download music from the web.
The "main" and most re-occuring theme is, of course, the MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. theme found on the album THE ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK AFFAIR.
Other tracks have been taken from various soundtracks as well as "easy listening compilations".
I also have CDs with themes and background music produced especially for the use of amateur filmmakers. That's where (for instance) the "Frankenstein Theme" from my last movie came from. It's called "Infernal Pursuit" and I thought it matched at least some of the scenes perfectly.
Robot Chicken, eh?
Well, seems like I've got some serious googling and YouTubing to do.
