What do you collect?
Mind you, we're just talking toys here. Action figures, spaceships, trolls, monsters, stuff like that.
I'm into lots of stuff, and as I've been collecting for 29 years now (God, I'm one of the Ancients!), I was lucky enough to buy most of it cheaply. To give you an example: I bought SW 12 backs by the tons for 2 Euros each (79 BF to be exact). Those were the days. Unfortunately, I ripped them off the cards, 'cause in those days you collected for fun, not for $$$. I still do that, by the way. When you have a Spiderman with 67 points of articulation, that baby wants to move, dude! Spaceships need to fly!
Open those boxes!!
Hm. Sorry about the rant.
Anyway: I have an almost complete collection of vintage SW, Action Man, Major Matt Mason, Famous Covers, Star Trek 9", Megos, LOTR, Fist of the Northstar, old and new horror figures, ....
This all amounts to quite a bit, and I'm thinking of starting a collectible "toy" website. We'd have articles in Dutch, English and French, covering old and new stuff.
Now a friend of mine and myself are quite adept at putting something on paper, but we can always use extra material. We want the site to have news every week.
I think Belgium can use something like that.
So my question remains: who would like to contribute with something they collect and want to write about?
Be honest with yourself: if all you can say is "I really, really love Dragon Ball!", that's cool, but not an article, get my drift?
Maybe it won't work, but I'd like to test the water first here, to see what's possible.
So where are you, collectors???
Post a picture of your collection, and tell us something about it!
