Actually, Godzilla càn survive in space (he even walks on a moon with no atmosphere in Monster Zero), and underwater (where he sleeps). There's very little that can harm Big G, except an American remake.... ;D Probably, but he can't warp, so running for him is the easy way out. But he won't survive a full spread of photon torpedoes either.

Because that is like flies to the Big G! He also has a selfrepairing genome in his cells, meaning he can recuperate (cell by cell) from any attack. In his 28 movies he has survived direct hits from nuclear bombs and just shrugged them off. So all you can do, guys, is run away really really fast at warp speed. Which still makes Godzilla...my hero! ;D Join us again for another exciting round of Godzilla versus everyone!!!

Nuclear blasts aren't even CLOSE to photon torpedo explosions. Think about a scale 1000 to a million bigger in energy density (we could better be talking dB's here, easier!). And if that doesn't splatter him all over the nearest asteroid, we have tri-kobalt devices which are strong enough to destroy a small moon. And if we want to, Section 31 will probably have bigger guns than that if we need them.

Captain's log, stardate 89150: we are on a peaceful mission to Gamma Hydra VI. No wait, we have tri-kobalt devices strong enough to destroy a moon! Let's nuke the (DELETED)!!! Ah, I do love a good old peaceful mission.... ;D Chill, dudes, it's only a movie...

LOL and than to know the Death Star can destroy a whole planet and the Sun Crusher a whole system!! ;D Yep, the Trek fans and Godzilla would be hopeless. ;D

LOL and than to know the Death Star can destroy a whole planet and the Sun Crusher a whole system!! ;D Yep, the Trek fans and Godzilla would be hopeless. ;D We have our tricks of doing that as well. (Like collapsing wormholes, singularities and such. Those things SUCK!). But most of the time we have little use for such brutalities. Killing people is far less effective than extracting information from them (even if that proves fatal in the process). Yes, even Starfleet has its backwater Black Ops. And that's way cooler than 'seek out new life...', I mean, that story's starting to get old.

I think I'll "retire" from this thread, thank you very much. I'll leave appetite for torture to the Cardassians.

Agreed that Godzilla won't probably survive the Death Star and that kind of stuff, but still he's one of my favorite movie monsters ever. ^^ And I love the battle in Final Wars between Japanese and American Godzilla.

I think I'll "retire" from this thread, thank you very much. I'll leave appetite for torture to the Cardassians. The problem is, that the regular Star Trek story (as seen in TOS and TNG) has been done over and over, and even though I'm a fan of that as well, it started to lack excitement and character development by the time Voyager came across. Nemesis was the big 'show stopper' for me, since it was essentially a big battle film with no ovbious story and characters/factions that were out of proportion. The politics were gone (politics is what made DS9 and TNG strong shows) and it focused purely on the raw action. I'm not saying we should do a show focused on such things. But I do think it should stay involved 'behind the scenes' as Starfleet is a military organisation (like it or not) and defense is one of its core tasks. It too has an Intelligence department and even Section 31 is canon. So there is definitely some 'dirty work' going on behind the scenes, and that only makes it more interesting. The current market is moving away from the 'ships and gadgets' and moving towards SF as a means to tell a story. And telling a story is all about keeping the audience on their edge.

Aren't there more original "who would win in a fight between ..." we can wome up with? Such as: - Han Solo and Indiana Jones ? - the Ginyu Force and the Dalton Brothers ? - the movie Brazil and the government of your choice ? - Mary Jane and Lois Lane ? - McGyver and the A-Team ?
I'm just suggesting...

Ultraman is actually not human, his host is a human body but when he transforms into Ultraman he gains superpowers. He can become the size of builings, can fly, and can shoot energy waves with his hands. But he has a weakness, when he is damaged or fatigued during battle his orb goes from green to yellow to red (red weakest one). This is because Ultraman is not used to battle on Earth.

Superman should beat him then, he must get ultramen exhausted and then a final blow and he is finished.

But if you get Superman out of the sun, he has the same problem as Ultraman because Superman gets his (new) energy from the sun...
