Not for me (as I've already met him) but could be interesting for you zombie fans: Jimmy Wallin. He's a Scandinavian artist who I met on another convention last year. There he'd draw a portret of you as a zombie, and a very good one at that! I think he'd be a great guest to have. An example of his work:

Ha, well that's a thing I'll always regret about being a guy: not being able to pull off a good Leia cosplay. But anyway, you can find mine on facebook (kenneth danneels) if you're interested

JOE BENITEZlast night Joe wrote this on his facebook: "Looks like I 'll be doing The Paris Expo show in France in Late November. Since I loves me some Europe and since I'm never there or haven't been since 2000 . I was thinking of perhaps doing a month long tour/vacation or as you folks call it Holiday of the place. But I needs me some help from you fine folk to help me maneuver my way thru . Plan on hitting Italy,Germany,Netherlands,Ye Ole England,Irleland maybe Scottland and of course Le France . Anyone out there that can help me with setting up at Essen show in Germany and or the Lucca Show in Italy? Since I'm gonna be there anyways I'm putting it out there if anyone wants to host a signing at their store just PM me or hit me up at my email wraithcomic@yahoo.com" So I asked him if he would be interested in coming to Belgium for FACTS 2013. Saying I could get him in touch with you guys. And he replied with the following: "Heya Christophe send me the info. Well Wade, (another ASPEN fan and FACTS visitor) maybe if the FACTS thing works out I won't be skipping Belgium". I love Aspen comics and their artists. So getting the Joe Benitez who also created the Lady Mechanika comcis would be epic. Since I have ALL the variant covers of each Lady Mechanika issue. www.facebook.com/#!/JoeBenitezArtist/posts/10151429384604006?comment_id=25548870¬if_t=feed_comment_reply

We also saw his cry out for conventions in Europe and we're of course on it as we wouldn't want to miss this opportunity. We'll keep you updated.

I hope there will be some variation of artsists (not just one zombie theme or Topcow related artists). ..maybe some underground artists like; Nix, Joost Swarte, Al Columbia, Mattotti or Stefano Ricci (my personal favourate ..would love to meet him and see him do some sketching:) Or a streetArt theme with people like; Jim Mahfood, Alex Pardee, David Choe, Guy Denning, Dante Horoiwa(he did some amazing artwork on Buildings in Rotterdam). ..or movie related artists like; Dave McKean (director & artists) personal favourates; Joost Swarte, Barron Storey, Sam Kieth, Bill Sienkiewicz and Mike Dringenberg. Maybe get a small Art-expo or a Art workshop/ demonstration by some cool names ..just how to see how they make great art

Art expo sounds kinda nice and it would make less noise than those d**n drums al long as it is movie or comic related. (and i don't mean a poor copy of a famous scene to make a quick buck)

Rebekah Isaacs would be awesome! She's from NY, really nice and currently working on Dark Horse's Angel & Faith series. She does european cons, she would be a great addition for the Buffy/Angel fans. Talked with her today and mentioned Facts, she would love to come.

Hope to see some Belgium artists like Randall Casaer, Brecht Evens or Nix at the convention... Don't you think these people are more related to the European comics? Their stories are not even about Science-Fiction, Games or Fantasy. I guess they would be a bit misplaced at FACTS, no? Of course, I don't question their talent.

Those would be misplaced at FACTS. We need artists like Ebas, J. Scott Campbell and Jamie Tyndall.

Thanks, I know, I'm meeting her at one of those conventions, but I was to late for commissions, so started talking with her about that she should come to facts some times.

Just got back from Germany, Rebekah was really cool. She also did a panel/Q&A about drawing Angel & Faith. Got a nice original page hanging on my wall right now. Really hope you could invite her this year. And is it a idea to do such things as panels with comic artists at facts? You could do it with some guests, like a half hour / 45 min panel or something... I like it a lot and you reach a bigger audience...

Have thought of doing this already for years but we're not sure if such a panel will attract much people. Most artists-fans don't leave the artist alley the whole day/weekend.

Sure you can. I believed it's attached now. (not high quality, but you get the idea). Well, maybe you could try it with a few artists or in a room near the artists alley. (And I don't mean the toilets ) When you're gonna invite writers, I think that would be the most interesting. But artists and writers, I both think could be very interesting and it would be cool if you give it a try. Attachments:

Okay, I might get the 'it doesn't really fit on F.A.C.T.S.' comment, but I'm going to suggest it anyway. But how about Charel Cambré or Marc Legendre. They made the new 'Amoras' comic, the Suske & Wiske spin-off. I think it might be interesting for the local artist alley. Not only are the original comics very important culturewise, but the idea of trying to americanize it (going for somewhat of a graphic novel style), is pretty interesting. It sure was the first Suske & Wiske comic I read in a long time. I also think F.A.C.T.S. is around the time the second album will appear.

Not facts, it's a comic and it's fiction, so that's facts enough for me.
