i came across facts by accident about 4 years - i didnt even know there was such a thing as a belgian sc-fi con
my suggestion is to advertise facts more
i mentioned facts on a message board and they never heard of facts although they were from belgium
maybe one of my suggestions is to make a facts myspace -and recrute people with intrest in cons and scifi
i just recently joined a myspace called conheaven
i think this would make a great way to advertise facts all over the place ..and its free lol

So, we would like to ask for [glow=red,2,300] YOUR HELP [/glow]! Help us make FACTS more known : speak about it in your school, with your friends, etc. Mention it in fora, in discussion boards, on myspace, etc. Add our banner to your site. Together we can really make FACTS grow even more ! |

well facts is a special event with special guests etc so if you could get it on the news it would be a good promotion

"Well i praise FACTS for doing their best but the fact of the lmatter is that maybe you need to do MORE promoting because whether you realize it or not most people in Belgium have no idea FACTS is even around...my wife is Belgian and she had no clue it existed until we started attending 4 years ago...we saw it quite by accident in the back of Dag Allemaal...no one is perfect and overall you ladies and gentelmen are doing a great job running this thing!"

some years ago i visited my local cd store.and found a flyer of star force event i ghent.you know the charity show.i visited that.and i liked it.after that i visited the websites of papers that i got on that event.and i found your event on teekay.that was the 2005 event.
and now i help with advertising your event.i hang up posters of your event.and every time a guest cancels.take his picture away from the posters a replace him with the new guest.also i have put a banner on my site.and told an american site about your event.and this year there will be some americans in belgium for your event.

International advertising would help too. Outside the Benelux, FACTS isn't known at all, and through the Internet, this would be easy, right?
Radio and TV spots will only work if you have the right radio station, with the right audience. SF and Anime fans won't watch a lot of TV since most of the shows won't come out in Belgium or the Netherlands! And getting FACTS crew or fans on radio or camera won't really work either, since most media considers FACTS- and other convention-goers a big bunch of nerds, and they are willing to emphasize it!

Maybe I don't watch enough tv, but I've never seen a tvspot?
What channels should they be on? (Coming from the Netherlands)
