|Joe Jusko is a great artist indeed ..but he has been in Belgium and the Netherlands about 2 months ago (together with Michael Golden % teddy Kristianssen). And a few years back in the netherlands.. To be honest, I am (again) quite dissapointed... You tried him already a few years ago, he just visited Belgium & Holland ..couldn't you better get somer other artist ..that hasn't been here for quite some time ?? ..there are so many great artists in our neighbourly countries: Emmanuel Civiello (Spain), Royo (spain), Dave Mckean (UK), Simon Bisley (UK), John Bolton (UK ..has already been a few years:), MamTor (UK), Gabriele Dell'Otto (Italy), Tony daniel (Italy), Alex Horley (Italy), Alberto Ponticelli (Italy), Simone Bianchi (Italy), Lee bermejo (Italy), Stefano Ricci (Germany) ..if you get people from the USA please bring over some fresh names (Hughes is cool!), but Jusko has just been here.. I would rather see people like Travis Charest, Whilce Portacio or Bill Sienkiewicz...
Hopefully we will see more (new) artists.. Who is next?? Paul renaud, Spider Guille or Stephane Roux?? ..all coool artists, but I want some fresh/ new artists!!
+ it would be nice if there will be different artists from different genre's/ styles... (Tucci, Hughes, Roux, Spider, Renaud are all kind of the same style/ genre artists)

Joe Jusko is a great artist indeed ..but he has been in Belgium and the Netherlands about 2 months ago (together with Michael Golden % teddy Kristianssen). Correct. But this was arranged way after Jusko agreed to come to this FACTS....and since a LOT of people missed Jusko's appearance 2 months ago, I do not see a problem. You tried him already a few years ago, 2 years ago he was snowed in at the airport... Paul renaud, Spider Guille or Stephane Roux?? Renaud has never been to FACTS. The other two were at FACTS2007. What is your point? ..all coool artists, but I want some fresh/ new artists!! please elaborate... it would be nice if there will be different artists from different genre's/ styles... last year there were also 2 very cool Manga-artists. One from Belgium and one from Holland. And different genres?...well...there is ONE other artist who is coming to FACTS who then will most certainly satisfy your thirst for genre-differentiation!! But that is up to FACTS themselves to announce

Joe Jusko is a great artist indeed ..but he has been in Belgium and the Netherlands about 2 months ago (together with Michael Golden % teddy Kristianssen). As he was very popular on those events (very small comparing to F.A.C.T.S. though), he'll be very popular on our show. The people who saw him then will surely queue up again as such artists rarely tour twice a year (even twice a decade) in Belgium. It's not our policy not to ask artists who came recent years to Belgium or neigbouring countries. If that would be the case, it would mean that we can't try to get people like Mike Mignola, Ramos, Royo, Craig Thompson, Jeff Smith, Dave McKean or Michael Golden to our show.

don't get me wrong ..I think you have (already) great list for a convention this year ..big names! Of course for the people who missed Joe Jusko at the signings in France, Belgium or Holland ..great chance! But I am just saying he has just been here (last may) ..I already got everything signed/ sketched ..me and a lot of French, Belgium and Dutch collectors to.. That is what I meant with the 'more variation' part. ..but non the less Joe Jusko is a great artist!! As is Adam Hughes ..but my dissapointment in there is that he doesn't do sketch commissions (more detailed work). Is this a choice from Facts, or Adam Hughes? ..in my opinion this a unique opportunity to get a cool Adam Hughes piece, and I am willing to pay (quite a lot) for that. Why don't make the more elaborate pieces expensive (then the real fans get a chance for a cool piece).
All in all I am defenitely looking forward to this years con!!!

@ Moon: read my comments above and Mr Facts's comments. @ Bacchus: since FACTS is trying to have sketches by comicartists for free, AH! did tell us he will be doing free sketches. But they will be done faster and less detailed then when you pay ...like in the other comicons in the US. But I am sure if you WANT to pay, AH! will be happy to take your money

Nice. A very good artist indeed! I have already another artist on mind for next year: It's a bit early butt I like to meet Clyde Caldwell. He is known for his fantasy pictures with strong, sexy women. He also worked for TSR from 1982 to 1992, illustrating many "Dungeons and Dragons" products. Since 1992 he has worked as a freelance artist.

THE SECOND COMING !!! Vampirella is not real. Like Marilyn Monroe and Betty Page she’s a cultural phenomenon now woven into society’s DNA, a symbol of sensuality and power. So thinks a group of women who become increasingly and inexplicably fascinated with her, getting Vampi tattoos, researching her story and seeking each other out to celebrate her. But as a virus ravages Washington, possessing any man it comes across and liberating their darkest desires, these women feel a call from something… or someone… to battle this new threat. Who is doing this to them? Is Vampirella real after all? Find out on 09.10.09: The Second Coming of Vampirella! Written by award-winning Phil Hester (Darkness) with art by up-and comer Daniel Sampere.
