When you look at the last 5 ST movies, everyone of those sucked big time.

Spin-offs like DS9, Entreprise, etc. all disapeared from TV pretty fast due to lack of good viewing rates.

ST I ===> IV where cool and also the old serie with William Shatner, but after that, and many will back this up, ST is just a ripp-off of the real thing.

Can't wait for the SW TV serie sto arrive !

Please people, could we stay away from the "Star Trek vs. Star Wars" argument. You know this discussion is just about the most important reason why "normal" people regard scifi-fans as geeks. I mean, we're in a niche interest group as it is, so let's not each defend our own little patch by dissing other people's favorites. To each his own.

Oh, and by the way: Anthony Daniels was also the voice of Legolas in Ralph Bakshi's "Lord Of The Rings" animation, so that's one for the fantasy crowd as well.

It amazes me that Star Trek and Star Wars even have to be compared. We're talking apples and pears here. No comparison is needed!
If you don't like something, don't watch it, but let others enjoy it.
You know, I'm one of those weirdos who like lots of different aspects of the fantastic genre: Star Wars, Star Trek, Anime, Spiderman, you name it. That's why we started FACTS, all thos years ago: to show all aspects of this wonderful genre, not to make them fight amongst each other. That is why the team that still brings you FACTS every year tries to bring you a bit of everything.
Star Wars will never be better than Star Trek. Star Trek will never be better than Star Wars. They're somewhat alike (SF) and somewhat different (Space Opera versus Human Explorers).
Enjoy the differences, they bring spice to life. How boring wouldn't it be if we only watched 1 thing?
And one can't help but wonder: if Han Solo fought Captain Kirk, who would win?

About Anthony: one of the best guests a convention can get.
A genuine showmaster, kind to his fans, highly professional....

Given the fact that he only does a handful of conventions every year (most of the time only 1 or 2) I think FACTS has really hit it bigtime this year.

I'm glad you approve, Duke. The negotiations I did were anything but short, but at last I was able to secure him... :-)

Same old story.

I am not the person that shoots another person but Martok is right on this one. If you work like a team, stick like a team together and call it a group effort.

That's how you win a war. We had our share of dictators allready in the world, finally all have fallen. (Hittler, Musolini, Stalin, Marcos, Papa Doc, enz.)

Don't stumble on the way but keep on track. A crew is what you need and they also deserve some respect and apriciation for all the hard work. There is no I in a group , only a we !

I stick by our crew as it should be. I'm just glad everybody helps out a little bit to make everything a big succes.
