Last year was my first FACTS and I really loved the "Making Of". Never saw any convention like that here in Germany and I'm going already to Cons for quite a while now. In Germany they gamble out sketch-tickets and the only thing you can get for free, is a signature by the pencillers. FACTS seemed to be more like a US Con. MORE RELAXED (also for the artists) Queuing, getting close to the artists, having a chit-chat, asking for a sketchie. Some artists were even nice to allow taking a picture together afterwards, even our EVER shy Adam Hughes. That really was ONE AMAZING line-up last year and I just can't wait for the 11th of October!!! Another thing I really liked, was the fact, that those sketchies are mostly even for free. IF the pencillers charge a fee at all, then you really have some sketchie in hand afterwards! And the selection of artists is more mixed in Gent!!! Different eras of comics, different styles, famous or newbie - really an amazing mix! *lol* and the PAs are nicer, too. And I'm not saying that flatter boomboom  |

The PAs are definately nicer in Gent. In Germany it was always like sitting in the artists' neck and telling them not to do the sketches too detailed or not to do free sketches at all or only draw into sketchbooks or they are interrupting your talk with the artist and make them sign 50 comics or force them to take a lunchbreak, no matter if they want or not. Always looks like "subtle drill instructions". Last year the artists "were allowed" to sell private stuff and do sketches and commissions ONLY AFTER 5pm. Well isn't that amazing?  No fun at all... |

hahahahahahha, well lat yearI had the effect, that we posted pictures of commissions and sketches with the artists, with us etc and it all ended up like:
"Hey, I was standing NEXT to you when you waited for that!" That's a way to make friends, too ^^

i have colour contacts instead of glasses but their adapted to my eye sight so i'll be ably te reconise you. I'll give you a tap on the shoudler and say who i am |

I'll have coloured contacts too, but I don't think there's any adaption or whatever on them. XD I'll have to ask about it, I have an appointment for them next week. [:
