Hey everybody!
Last year was the first year I went to FACTS (only on Saturday) and this time I'll be present in Ghent from Friday evening until Sunday evening.
I can't say I know everything about FACTS yet, but I was wondering if there ever were workshops of any kind at the FACTS convention in the past?
And if not - would the organizers like to add workshops of any kind to the convention in the future? (Obviously not for 2008 cause that is too nearby)
As for the members - what kind of workshops do you think would do well at the FACTS convention? Or what kind of workshops have you seen at other conventions where you went?
Personally, I was inspired by the para para dances we discussed in the "Typical con-music"-thread (though it has a different name). I've checked some on youtube and tried to dance them myself... Not only were they fun, but kind of hard too (some of them) so I was like: "Gosh, I wish they had workshops of this stuff..." It would be hilariously funny to do this with friends and other cosplayers and visitors at the FACTS convention.
Besides Para Para, I also think there would be a crowd that would be very interested in workshops from the comic animators - drawing workshops and such.
I also once - though I have no idea where - saw people doing a sort of "movie swordfighting" or something class. How to make fake duels yourself (this would be interesting for those Star Wars fans with laserswords). They start with teaching you basic movements of swordfighting and then they usually leave you to choreograph your own swordfight and later on they let people perform their little swordfights as well... Just sounds like something fun...
Okay, but ehm... Maybe the other members have some contributions or ideas as well?
