Yes, that was my confusion. xD You could have been a shy cosplayer. But anyway's, I dunno what's wrong with the guest stars that you have to hide from them?

Hehe, just don't hide from them then. I don't know any actor by name (besides the epicly famous ones of course, but yah). But I just don't go towards them, so I don't know what's to worry about. xD

Same here, I don't hide, it's just that I don't go towards them. lol, I'm pretty sure if one of them started talking to me, I'd be like 'how the hell are you?' xD

May I make a point here please?
Good, there's this news, Facts is going to be on a different location. It's good to me for this reasons; MORE space. Being able to walk around without bumping into people and having to walk around while constantly mumbling "sorry-'xcuse me-pardon-didn't see you-was that your leg? sorry-I didn't just step on your toes did I? " Means also more space for dealers, for the foodstands, fanclubs, photostands, gamerooms, stage for cosplayers and space for the audience... I guess this will relieve some of the stress. Also, Expo is very easy to reach. I mean, highway, follow the "expo" boards? Easy peasy. Okay, it's to see how much of the space in the expo will be used, and what will be where, but I hope this really will be an improvement. Also, for taking pictures and filming, the light is great in that building because of the huge-ass windows there. No need for flashes! JAY! (I hate the pictures taken of cosplayers with flash.. Gives them ugly skin and the such)
I have my doubts though. The entrace fee for starting with. I was HUGELY dissapointed this year because of the huge entrace fee. Okay, what is "huge"? I remember some time back, the entrace fee was 5€, even FREE if you came in costume since that meant you were there to entertain the people. The number of visitors has improved, and with that the price of the tickets. The price has almost doubled. That's not very logical, is it? More people mean more money EVEN if you don't change the entrace fee. This years location is one of the biggest places there is to rent in Belgium, but what will the outcome of the prices be? Rising those prices because you know people want to get in anyway.. I'm sorry, I'm not a fan of this way of acting. Further. the new location is bigger, will there be enough staff people and such to keep an eye on the security? Will there be caretakers? Last year someone I knew hurt her feet and there wasn't any first aid people around (luckiliy there were people with band-aids and such, but it wasn't on the organisators' end to come with help) , though their services tend to be free of charge... Heating is also something I'm a bity worried about... Last year was too hot because there were too many people and there wasn't a decent airconditioning or something.
There are more things, but I'm awaitig the reaction on these points at first.
Some more suggestions; Facts is about Fantasy, Anime, Comics, Toys and Space. EVERy year there are actors from sf-movies, there have NEVER been guests (if I missed this and there were, please correct me) concerning anime. Why? I agree that SF in general has a big fanbase and has been popular over the years more than anime probably is, but if Anime is one of the things Facts stand for, you should represent it in more facets then only dealers, don't you think so?
I've been to a very small convention, there was almost nothing to do, but they managed to get the producer of Wolf's Rain to that; she was a judge for the cosplay contest, there was a Q&A with her and she gave autographs for free... I'm sorry but there's more you can do regarding ALL the fans of Facts, not only the SF-fanbase. I've really enjoyed Facts untill past year, and I hope you will at least take a look at those suggestions.

Did you know that FACTS is the cheapest convention I know? If they ask 8 or 9€, it is still cheaper than the conventions in Holland or Germany. And everything gets more expensive, even bread or milk or the newspaper. So what's to complain?

The more visitors that come, the more money is earned. There's no need, in my humble, sincere opinion to heighten the prices as more and more people come every year :s

The prices for signatures that the actors ask is not for FACTS. It's for the actors themselves. I don't know how it is for the 10€ for standing with the actors on a picture. Last year was the first time I saw that (except for Robert Englund two years ago)! That's terrible!

Rogue, Last year it became very clear that ICC was reaching its limit in harnessing the heat and the crowd. Not to diss ICC (LOVE the building and the parc!!) but that many people just wear the environment out. So there were two choices possible, keeping in mind that ICC was no longer an option. So a new building with TWICE the space, was the only way to go on with FACTS. Expo however is also much bigger in EVERY way... But rest assured! FACTS will NEVER be ripping you off, since we all do this as NON-PROFIT. ALL our efforts and income will be BY the fans FOR the fans and not ONE person will be getting richer (beyond feeling really good in providing all those thousands of fans a means to have an extremely good time in a professional environment!!!) @ Anime: we try to have those fans catered for as well ofcourse. Via cosplay, dealers and artists we try to do that. Maybe an actor/producer? Well...please rest assured that we DO try to get them into coming, but it has proven pretty hard. Suggestions? Please email/pm me and we can further talk about this. The more visitors that come, the more money is earned. There's no need, in my humble, sincere opinion to heighten the prices as more and more people come every year I wish it was so simple I do understand your opinion but there is much much much that is not known to the general public. And most do not WANT to know.

I thought the news would have something to do with change of location as there was talk about that for a few years.... so finally its official. It's easy to get to the Expo.... but I hope the parking will be clear (as there are several parkings around it and sometimes it's not easy to know which you have to take.)
The entrance fee: if they can get bigger names (like Amanda Tapping, Joe Flanigan....) I don't mind if its (a little) higher. Yes, I come for the actors in the first place (signature, q&a's, picture.... ) Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy walking around, checking out the things for sale, to look for something that can be added to the collection....
About entrance fees on international conventions: they are higher but there are often more things included like a free autograph off the attending actors, meet and greet, parties....
About the autographs: as long as the price is decent I buy an autograph from the ones I want.
About paying for a picture with the actor: hope it will be free this year but we'll have to wait and see.

I'm happy with the new location. It means that a change of the food CAN happen now, it means that there will be MORE room for walking around, it is just great and I think only good things can come of it.
Another thing I hope to see change, is the cosplay. The entire organisation. Not just the location/stage... But I've seen the cosplay the last two years and I'm very frustrated with the organising of everything. I hope there will be SERIOUS changes there as well!!!

Like: showing up on time for a change, having the technical stuff sorted out, perhaps even with pre-inscriptions instead of contests that go on for hours, with deciding if you actually prefer an act and would like to give points for that or prefer just someone turning 360 degrees to see the outfit, unbiased judges, etc. etc. etc.

Urgh, I agree with Jessie, this year, our FIRST cosplay act ever, we got bore into the gorund because they couldn't figure out what song was ours >.>; the laptop messed up and other sorts. I still have bad dreams about it >.>; I agree that the registering online, on the FACTS site should be final, I don't think it's fair if people on the day itself register at the booth where they check if everyone is there. Stupid really, the day before facts began I checked the site and there were like 20 more people/groups on it, but I never saw them >.>; They should be serious about it. And make things clearer
