Is Robert Picardo planning to do something like this by any chance... *Has his fingers crossed, candles burning, things sacrificed to come in mister Picardo's grace,...*

I will definitely be there.
I was pleasantly surprised by the SG Continuum event at the Siniscoop last year (although that was, AFAIK, not organised by FACTS) and I'm always in for more personal events with actors.
If Ms. Cairns and Mr. Picardo would join in on the party, you'd have no trouble getting those 50 tickets sold.

As we didn't get to this amount we had to cancel it. The cost looks indeed expensive but is the normal price abroad for such evenings.

The cost looks indeed expensive but is the normal price abroad for such evenings. Excuse me, but 72 euros is, usually, not an evening price but a price of either a day ticket or a regular weekend ticket, and such an evening would usually take place AT the convention venue, which also feature a hotel. Regular weekend prices for full convention tickets (which, usually, include events like this and parties on both evenings) are ranging from 52 euros (Holland) to 99 euros (Germany) and ~120-150 euros (UK). And that's Friday afternoon/evening until Sunday late afternoon. Any 'special' events and VIP tickets, which usually encompass 25-50 people (and chique dress, as opposed to jeans and geekshirt) will cost around 50 euros extra, and some conventions offer the everything-you-ever-might-need whole shebang tickets for hundreds of Euros. As I already suggested, you might want to keep the Billy Bob's reservation, and maybe get the NURDz to throw a FACTS exclusive party. Just let us know what that's going to cost, I guess the main price tag for the planned party was Kevin Sorbo's appearance. (Meh, the word censoring here is a bit overdone. I mean, 'c-o-c-k-tail' is a perfectly normal and decent English word referring to a drink. Even if the first syllable can be considered as an indecent term for a certain body part...)

Not enough people. Period.
