so i was watching assassin's creed 2 and was filming the game when the guy explaining in front asked me not to film. so i stopped filming.
i told this to a friend later on and he said: why does it matter anyway, the net is already full of vids of the game, its highly doubtfull there was more to see than the vids from e3 months ago, which also had a developer explaining the vid.
so yeah, thinking back i found it weird since there really was nothing new to tell or to show that hasnt been released yet. sure are a bunch of weird fella's at ubisoft

You're right man, you're right. Me and my crew wanted to make an Assasins Creed II Preview for our YT-Channel, but nopes, when Ubisoft saw us coming with camera and microphone they said NO PRESS.
Now what the f**k?

I think it's only normal.. they just want to limit the leaked footage of AC2, and keep everything limited to the official stuff

Nopes, can't be. Another report-crew I know went to Oostende Film Festival where there was an Official ACII presentation on big screen just like on FACTS, and they WERE allowed to film..

Because that was the official trailer/pre-recorded demo.. the demo we saw at facts was unique, and showed many things a lot of people don't know about.. and trust me, I know, I'm OBSESSED with AC2

I think it's only normal.. they just want to limit the leaked footage of AC2, and keep everything limited to the official stuff In that case, they SHOULDN'T be playng the game in demonstrations in PUBLIC, and complain AFTERWARDS! The point is that media companies (and game distributors) are paranoid about their copyrights and are afraid they might lose a single Eurocent on it. They don't understand that leaked footage can actually be plain advertising for the game or movie. Camming a movie in a theatre is another thing, but the entire sense of the game is the interactive part of it. Seeing footage from the game in action doesn't give you a sense of the game's 'feel' as a player.

That's stupid. On novemver 16th the game will be released. So what is 1 month earlier to show some extra footage.

2 years ago it was also forbidden to film or take pictures of the first assassin's creed. It was about the same period of time before the release.
