I've read the book. Had a 'woohoo'-moment, a 'gasp'-moment (several actually) and a 'nooooo'-moment. Loved it to pieces. Also laughed my socks off. There's quite a bit of humor to be detected.
On that note, I also saw the Order of the Phoenix and I have to say that the book is ten times better than the movie.

I also had a couple of those moments and I also find the books alot more interesting than the movies, if the movies would follow the books, you would have 5 hour movies on youre hands

funny you say that ;Dbut the Lotr movies don't follow the books either and if the Lotr movies followed the book you would have 15-hour movies

I think 4 hours was more than enough. Watching all three keeps me busy for a day. I love it.

Yea I love the Lotr movies too Peter Jackson really put the epic feeling in the movies, now if they would just get him to do the second Eragon movie

Or one of the HP's yet to come... The last one would be great. I think Peter should do the last one.

do the Harry Potter movies leave much out, compared to the books?

do the Harry Potter movies leave much out, compared to the books? well the movies leave things out that are not much related to the battle between good and evil (Harry and Voldemort) ;Dbut if you want a true Harry Potter experience and you have time you should read the books but if you don't have the time or you are not a book wurm :Pand you watch the movies then you won't miss much of the true storyline( Harry-Voldemort) but the movies leave out much of the sub-plots that are in the books

Until the Order of the Phoenix I didn't feel like I was missing something from the books really. After all, you can't film everything (as has been said) but with the latest installment I was very disappointed. Loved the book ten times better than the movie.

I wonder if the videogames from Harry Potter are following these storylines.
