Hi to all I'm a bit new at the whole conventions stuff and I've only been to F.A.C.T.S. twice (the last two years, and I'm planning on going every year until the day I die, that's how much I've come to love it ) but I'm wondering what other European conventions are worth attending. Since there are probably a lot of conventions, each focussing on different aspects, I'll say that I'm mainly a big fan of films and shows. Not really that into comics or manga and such (I love it and own a bunch of both, but I'd rather meet actors and actresses than artists). Thanks in advance

I think we can make a point for *informally* discussing other SF/Fantasy/Anime/Comic related conventions on the boards.
The reason there's a general (and sometimes unwritten) rule of not talking about other cons is because it can resort to complaining about said convention, telling everyone it's better than FACTS, or just shamelessly advertising for it.
If there's enough reason to lift the blanket ban on discussing other conventions, I'd be all for it, but it's ultimately up to the moderators to decide. Also keep in mind that FACTS may have some deals with organisers of other conventions (e.g. for sharing guests) so they would be reluctant to discuss other conventions here.
