Can anyone tell me whether there has been a party arranged for this year? If so, is it once again at the Twitch or does FACTS have a different venue in mind?

I think it's safe to say for me that I won't be there because I will be dead-tired like last year. ;-) Volunteering is a heavy job and I'm not fit enough to throw a hell of a party as well... So sorry guys! I will be in my hotel bed, watching the brand new episode of Merlin and squeeing like a true fangirl at its awesomeness.

I had the monday off, but it was revoked, so I need to be fit on mondays, so can't go crazy on saturdays like you Hades ;-)

sorry that i was not at the party this year, but next year i will be, because this year i was a little bit tired and we was not enough peole to share a taxi, but in 2012 we will rock again, i promised |

Do i hear a suggestion for FACTS 2012 . . . . you could try asking the Holyday Inn management but i'm afraid they won't allow it I think 'allowing' is less of a problem, since a lot of conventions host their parties in the hotel ballrooms. The bigger issue is probably going to be money. Renting space at the Holiday Inn for such a party is fairly expensive, and we're going to need light/sound as well. We may be able to strike a deal for some discount if enough people show up (and therefore, the Inn's bar makes enough money off us), but it's going to be challenging. Nonetheless, I'd like to give it a shot, but I probably need a few people to think along. Anyone interested in finding out if we can do it, please drop me a PM.  It goes without saying, though, that having the party in the 'Atrium' (the restaurant in the middle of the building) isn't going to work! |
