The one that scares me the most is The Ring (both versions), there's just something about that movie that scares the hell out off me, I will never watch it again. Now my favorite horror movie is Jeepers Creepers, I love the story from that movie and the song/tune

so verry true.
one of the italian zombi movies scared me to but that was not because of the zombies, but because of one creepy little actor.
People who have seen that one surely will know what i mean.
huh *shiver*

If the first Alien and The Thing are considered horror, then definitely those two.

The Halloween series and A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.
I haven't really seen much other horrormovies other then Halloween series and Nightmare series.
I'm sure there are better ones, but those are my favorites.

I LOVED cult night specials! I remember they did that, a long time ago, with Jan Verheyen. Then they stopped, I bawwed. Then they did it again. I hurrah'd. Then they stopped again. Much baww was had. Anyway, like someone mentioned, that does sound like braindead. It's more of a comedy, actually because: 1. "I KICK ARSE FER THE LORD" - Action-hero, kung-fu priest 2. Lawn mower slaughtering galore 3. BABY ZOMBIE IN BLENDER! 4. Zombies making out: one head keeps falling off 5. etc... The most goriest horror flick I've ever seen was Cannibal Holocaust. Dario Argenta = one twisted little man. This movie keeps the camera's rolling where even movies like Saw or Hostel would turn away. The most "inspirational" one I've seen is the 50'ies black and white classic "House on the haunted hill". Not that modern would-be version, but the old one. With awesome one-liners, like "I know the supernatural is when something that isn't supposed to happen, DOES happen" (often referenced in underground music, like wumpscut and the like). The horror movie that I've looked forward to most, is Silent Hill. I don't understand how a lot of critics disliked it, but then again, I remember my first playstation, playing Silent Hill in the dark, volume high JUST to see how long I would last. Some of the gripping scenes from the game (first time the nightmare world kicks in) was transferred gracefully to the silver screen. My ultimate favorites, are still the Dawn of the Dead movies (both the '78 original as the '04 remake). I'm a Romero fan. There' something about survivalism that I profoundly enjoy. Diary of the dead was a disappointment, though. Land of the dead was quite alright.

4 years ago.. Like that I think.. I was like 12... so Ive seen the movie "Event Horizon". It's a Sci-Fi Thriller. It's a very good thriller in fact cuz it scares the nuts out of you with it's atmosphere and all that stuff.. I also like the SAW-series.. (Yup now you can call'em series) It's always nice to watch SAW on some home party or on a lan party with some friends^^

The exorcist is one of the scariest films i have seen. You see flashes of an evil devil or whatsoever when the girl is making creepy sounds. And also when she crawls from the stairs thats also scary.
