A couple of episodes of the series and the action figures. I was quickly turned off of the series though, as much of the plot seems forced and illogical to me. Then again, I have one prejudice in life, and it's against movies and series based on video games. So I'm probably biased.

As far as I know, the hackseries arent based on the game but the game the anime and the manga were one big project...

Don't know if thats particularly cool^^ smart move from the creators if you ask me Ive followed the series and it was nice but no more than that... But I really like the character designs! I wanted to play the game too but d**n its FOUR of them!! And I m a little short on time:/ I m gonna do a cosplay as well! Credits to Fenicia  |

Who cares if its for big money or not.. Naruto also has a manga an anime and a game and with their totally different styles you cant really compare them...
Hack is enjoyable if u like its style but the story is a bit slow

I've played the first three games and loved them as well as the OVA that comes with them and I've read volume one of the DUSK manga and I hated that.

I mean, Naruto is okay, but it isn't all that great.
The .Hack games are defenitly better than Naruto.

I know pretty much all of them except the card game which I've never played or even seen being played. The full .hack// series storyline is actualy pretty good if you come to think of it. However it makes very slow progress. of all the bunch, I don't like .hack//SIGN that much, I prefer the less serious taste of .hack//LotTB. The game is also good for a virtual MMORPG, but it should have been 2 games instea of 4. The .hack//LIMINALITY (OVA that are with the games) are very good imho, en blend in nicely with the game. So overall, it's not GREAT, but it's not bad either. Anyway, I have all the LE boxes of .hack//SIGN and I'm not complaining about it. But then again, that mostly because of the included sound-tracks. The music in .hack// just has somthing special about it. It could however be that it's because I just like Yuki Kajiura and See-Saw so much ^_^ I m gonna do a cosplay as well! Credits to Fenicia I already got one as Kite from the games made by her. You'll probably see me in it this year at F.A.C.T.S. |

ames, and it's fund ,and the plot os interesting. But, really do they expect me to buy three gaes like this, which are all basicaly almost the dame? That's just trying to knock more money out of my pockets... I think this project sounds more like a marketing move than anything elsd. It's not bad, and amusing, but I will not buy the anime, or manga, or what have you. I gotta save for my trip to Japan. ^_~ <-

i might be realy late with this one, but i came in contact with the series by getting the first .HACK// game on the PS2.(for 15 euros new...anime games sell realy badly here)
i'm not that far into the game,but i kinda like it.
if only it was realy a MMORPG...

Late reply But anyway; I've seen .hack//sign, .hack//legend of the twilight bracelet .hack//roots and the first two of .hack//liminality. I haven't gottan further than the second PS2 game, because it's either rather hard, or i suck at gaming. I couldn't defeat the final boss on the second one  And as last, i've also read the legend of the twilight bracelet manga. I think that's all. Also, i think they're planning, or already working on, a MMORPG but it'll probably only release in Japan. I need to start reading up on more stuff I'm really not sure about this but i thought i heard something floating around. |

//roots is pretty complicated though O.o but what the hell i'll get used to it xD
