So summer is here. I got more time, but can't leave the house much. And so boredom strikes. I usually download and watch a few animes to pass the time. But atm i'm out of ideas and each time i start a new one it's rather disappointing.
Last "rather good one" i watched was Galactik Football (quite good, even though the name makes you think it's just boring football)
So my question is, what are you watching this summer?

hehe, ^^ well not a bad idea to rewatch some oldies. But i was hoping some people had some interesting new ideas.
I watched my golden oldies: Full Metal Alch, Chobits, Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, Avatar, etc too much. So i'm more searching for people that know of some (maybe less popular/known) anime's that wer ein their opinoin great to watch ^^
Thanks for the heads up though, didn't see FMA in 2 years so i guess i can dust it off and rewatch it in the mean time.

oh, but FMA Brtherhood isnt an oldie, its a brand new retelling, new animation, of the existing story with a new episode every week as for me I'm currently following FMA Brotherhood as well, season 2 of Mahoromatic, Gundam X, RaxXephon, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and I have tons of DVD boxes to watch (Ergo Proxy, Serial Experiment Lain, Boogipop Phantom, Haibane Renmei, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Samurai Champloo, Paranoia Agent, Trigun, Hellsing) the summer is too short!! and depending on your tastes, I could make other suggestions of anime I watched in the past

a retelling? as in really different like another ending?? or just different angles/view drawing style? o.o ooooh interesting. Well either way, that's going on the list.
Well my interest just goes to a good story (nothing about wars - which i hate) so i'm not that difficult. I have seen Samurai Champloo, Evangelion and Trigun of your list. So that means we at least sharing some good series.
So i'll be checking out the others ^^

if you would like to see some real oldies, might i recommend series like dragonball, city hunter, cowboy beebop or lupin the third. for anime's with english dub and/or subs i personaly use www.animedownloads.us/ they have a lot of series from the first once's (starting 1970) up untill stuff like naruto shippuuden and one piece, plus lifetime membership costs less then a night out on the town

thanks, ^^ it's a really useful website. *adds to favorites*
But i was more aiming for people to sum up a few anime's they liked. Since the choice is getting so d**n huge that i'm sometimes not sure what to watch anymore.

no wars, that excludes (all) Gundam series (even thoug there are some good series) Try out Michiko e Hatchin, it's a funky series about a mother that broke out of jail to get back her daughter to look for the father, it aired last year in Japan another series I liked from last year was Shikabane Hime, it's about a dead girl that has to hunt down other corpses (based on a manga, produced by Gainax & Feel studios) I'm a bit of a Gainax fan, so try out GunBuster, DieBuster, FLCL, Abenobashi, Nadia: secret of blue water to start with (and the new Evangelion Rebuild movies, the first one was shown in Belgium only once!) crazycookie: personnaly I prefer by far the manga over the anime for Dragon Ball (Z) it doesn't have that slow pace (but for nostalgia's sake, the background music is nice ^_^)

a retelling? as in really different like another ending?? or just different angles/view drawing style? o.o ooooh interesting. Well either way, that's going on the list. according to www.anime-source.com/ : A remake of the original series, designed to follow more closely the original work than the first animated version.

^^ Haha, well everything i have seen (or have been on my "go see it fast" list) is on my Anime DB list. Recently i actually went looking for a few mentioned in this topic and started some downloads. (haven't watched those yet) Also i stumbled over Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha sinds a friend was crazy about one of the main characters. I watched that one, the A's and started the Strikers version of it, but fell asleep during the 4th of 5th episode due to boredom. The first 2 series, weren't really bad, but it wasn't really something i was looking for to see at that moment. ^^ So still downloading. If you still got some nice ones, do tell. I'll add them to my list.

Everything I'm watching and M going to watch can be found here: myanimelist.net/profile/reaper_uniqueBut the once I'm most enthousiastic about are bakamonogatari, FMA:B, Spice and wolf II, Princess lover, Valkyria chronicles, CANAAN, Baquash and TM 8.0, the rest is mediocre.

you should, it is good the first episode kinda drops you into the whole thing but after a couple of episodes (so were we are now XD) it gets clearer.
