Since I was too young to really watch the older series, I gave the movie a try and I totally fell in love with it ;___;

I really liked the movie. But not such a great fan of the original series of Star Trek. Just came back from the cinema, where I watched the Star Trek movie. (finally) It was a very good movie. Really looking nice. It stayed true to the original Star Trek series and it also had some new ingredients to it. It wasn't just good for the Trekkies, but also to new fans. If they should say to me that there is only one thing I may change to it. Then I would say the phasers from the ship. Typical of Star Trek is the long laser firing. And in the new movie there are rapidly laserfires. On the other hand you get more action and explosions that way. Something that nowadays are needed for some people in movies. (But not necessary for me) |

:)I have seen it in the cinema. It was really a good movie , also for non-Trekkie's. Some scenes where Hilarius as when Bones gives Kirk a virus that is supposed to be safe,his hands grow like melons ;D ;Definitely gonna buy this one(have got the others too so ,...)Is he out on DVD yet??  |

I just adored it COMPLETLY when i saw him at the cinema. SUPER do i say about the story, it is a complete other approach of the series  Plus with THAT GREAT CAST, you can't be dissapointed  @boom get me copy too |

I sure hope for a sequel!!
This first one of a parallel StarTrek where Spock and Uhura are "into eachother" is too awesome to be without a follow up!!
I must say...that part was an amazing treat to the great actionmovie I just saw!!

Watched it once more yesterday. And it made me cry, laugh and stare in amazement once more. And I NEVER EVER watched the series before. So the fun thing about this is that you don't have to be a trekkie to know what it's all about <3. A sequel would mean the world to me D: I can't wait to see these amazing actors and actrices once more  |

it is a great movie . i got this from wiki, not sure if its true then. The film's major cast members have signed on for two sequelsRoberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Damon Lindelof began writing the script for a sequel in March 2009, with the hope to complete it by December and produce the film for a mid-2011 release |

27th october in France too.
Nice movie with big scenes but big mistakes (Zoe Saldana is pathetic as Uhura, it almost killed the movie).
I just wanted more Sulu, Chekov, Mc Coy and Scotty.
For me the best Trek movies are First contact and The Voyage Home (Leonard Nimoy is incredible)

Awww poor Zachary, he's such a hype now ;__; And yes, the association with star trek can be annoying at times, so it's understandable. No sequel in 2 years then ;;__;;

This STARTREK movie was indeed so amazing, from minute one we were totaly submerged in battle. I think i've seen this movie already 20 times and it's still GREAT ! Sooo looking forward to see those prequels Also i both have the dvd as the blu-ray of this truly awesome movie |

And so we went into the darkness...
But did it fulfill or did you feel the dark and emptiness...
I found it hard to place on a star trek timeline.
Is this before "space the final..." After or inbetween.
Total fan of the first movie but this one just had 2 much of that action hero nobrainer stuff in it.
What's your opinion and can you place it on the timeline?
