I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but this is going to far. And those 3D effects , wich are put afterwards, will never be as good as a movie who as shoots it's scenes in 3D.

I wouldn't mind seeing a re-release in theaters of the original films (since I never got to see them on the big screen), but I refuse to pay for this ridiculous hop on the 3d bandwagon.

I respect your opinions but I disagree, you never know what it'll bring, theres a reason the release is in 2012, they are doing more than anybody else to have the best 3d effects in a 2d movie and it will be great to see Star Wars on the big screen again from another point of view.

Han shot first! Hope he'll do so in 3D, too.

I must admit that i liked 3D in the beginning when it just was introduced, but IMO the 3D effect weares off after a while . . .

I don't mind 3D, in fact I do like it with some movies I saw . much people are saying that it is going to far that Lucas is bringing the star wars saga back to the big screen, but I see this from another side . I am 17 and have never seen the big star wars saga on the big screen, and with me many more childeren I think will be very happy with seeing it for the first time for them on the big screen . and you know what pretty much people are always telling to me the childerens are the future and I believe that the love for star wars will be strong for a very long time

To be honest, I think most producers and directors see 3D as a way to re-release old movies and make some more money.

I would give money to see the older versions rather than the up-dated versions. I really hate that they changed the end of return of the jedi. Children of the future should look more for authencity than the next "fancy schmancy" thing out there. George Lucas must hate the star wars fans a lot.

And we hate him at some times for messing up his own franchise. And the end of ROTJ was changed because that was what he plannd from the very beginning, but it's kinda hard to let Hayden film that part, since he wasn't born yet.
