i was able to join the beta testing for the old republic last weekend and played for a good 2 days, testing both pve & pvp .so here's my thoughts abot the game.
it starts as your basic mmo,wow with a lightsaber if you will. but soon distinguishes itselfs through the class driven storyline. every class gets it own unique storyline and each class gets its own unique companion aswell, who fights with you if you wish. companions can be sent out on missions to gather materials for your profession aswell. servers were running pretty smooth through the betatest and even managed to stand up to stresstests.
i spent around 3 levels testing the warzones which were pretty fun although a bit laggy at times. their are 3 available warzones each well playing within the starwarstheme. winning warzones gives an average of 5.2 k exp at lvl 14,which makes it a nice alternative for pve.
im certainly looking forward to the official release in a few weeks.

Boyfriend also did the beta weekend. It looked okay, tho movements seemed a bit rough... well not really rough but just not that smooth didn't really follow much more as I didn't really wanna spoil things for when I start myself ^_^ I think keeping the servers from crashing was an achievement in itself tho Considering the amount of ppl that were trying to get in ^_-

on saturday the queuetimes to get in were an average of 3 minutes.on sunday there were no queue's. not a single server crash, even during the stresstest.(atleast while i was playing)
today i logged into wow for some bg's and pvp seemed more fastpaced in sw:tor. but i think partial reason for that is because i still had to get used to my char and the skills in sw:tor. i have almost 24 skills hotkeyed in wow which i can use blindly, while in sw:tor i hotkeyed about 12 skills and often had to think what skill i put where and what it exactly did.

I totaly forgot it. Was to busy playing Assassin's Creed Revelations. Wich is a big shame on me, since I've been following every update every week for the last 3 years now. Oh well, 2 weeks to go.
I'll be playing a Jedi Knight and going Sentinel (wielding 2 lightsabers) as my advance class. What will you guys/gals be playing?

we were thinking of going empire cuz some friends were thinking of playing that. Bountyhunter and inquisitor. No idea bout servers tho we'll probably go PVE. Tho i've always been more of of a goodie goodie (tho in WoW my rogue has always been my main ^_^) so maybe republic might be better

sith inquisitor, going assassin at lvl 10. playing an ud rogue in wow for nearly 7 years have made me deeply attached to stealth classes that stab people in the back. and as is tradition my name will be 'avulsed' so here's hoping the name will be free. my friends will be joining me on the darkside although they want to go pve out of fear of being ganked while i lean towards pvp. so im still on the fence of either going pve to join my friends or picking a pvp server.
