How about getting some Doctor Who actors this time around? You could go old school, and get Sylvester McCoy (DW nr 7), who also has a pretty big role in The Hobbit. That's two different groups (Who and LOTR) who would be interested.
As far as the new actors: it's the 50th anniversary of DW this year, so what could be more appropriate than getting Matt Smith and David Tennant (who 10 and 11), who will be starring in the anniversary story coming this november?
Tons of DW stuff gets sold at FACTS every year, so you know the fans are there!!!

I've never watched a Doctor Who episode in my life so far, but I certainly wouldn't mind seeing Christopher Eccleston on F.A.C.T.S.. David Tennant wouldn't be bad either and Harry Potter fans might be happy.
I've met Sylvester McCoy earlier this year and would say he's a great, very entertaining guest. I'm sure many F.A.C.T.S. visitors would love his attendance.

Sylvester McCoy is on our list to be contacted. ;D

McCoy is a really nice guy, great with the fans, and he still looks like he did when he was still playing The Doctor. How about John Barrowman, from Who and Torchwood? Is his fee also that high?

I know Barroman charged 40€ per autograph on a convention I recently attended. No idea that Eccleston was that expensive Then again, Im' always surprised when I see how big the Doctor Who fanbase is. Guess one can ask that much then

Guess one can ask that much then We never had autographs sold for more than 30€. Doctors from the new series, their sidekicks and leads from Torchwood are just too espensive. Eccleston doesn't do shows and is not that fond of his Doctor Who period. He also refuses to play in a special show later this year for the 50th birthday of The doctor.

We never had autographs sold for more than 30€. Can I just say that I really respect that. It's one thing that actors charge for autographs (I completely understand why), but it's another if you just take plain advantage of them (like William Shatner). Or at least that's how I see it

Or at least that's how I see it I agree. It's normal that they ask money for it, otherwise everybody wants a autograph of them, even those that aren't interested in them. Imagine the wait line then. But asking to much is crazy and a disgrace towards their fans, the same people that watch you movies/series and buy stuff about it. In other words making them famous and rich. Also some people have problems of actors personalize the autograph. Again their is a reason of them doing this. Since otherwise they end up on ebay. And did we ever had an actor who asked €30? I thought the higest price I've ever seen was €25.

Couldn't we get Alex Kingston, I can't image she's very expensive?

Couldn't we get Alex Kingston, I can't image she's very expensive? I support this! Loved her in E.R. As Billie Piper is more recent, I assume se might be too expensive as well. But how about Paul McGann? You've got a soft spot for Alien 3 actors and he has played the Doctor (not very long, but still).

Alex Kingston is a good suggestion. You've got a soft spot for Alien 3 actors and he has played the Doctor (not very long, but still). Actually, we have a soft spot for the whole Alien franchise.

I'd love it if you could invite a guest from the first Alien film (as the cast is getting older...). Veronica Cartwright, Tom Skerritt and John Hurt often do a couple of European conventions and I don't think they're that expensive. Yaphet Kotto is a toughie to get, I hear, but he'd be a great guest too of course! Okay, hijacking the Doctor Who topic is over. My apologies

And by then I'll have already forgotten this spoiler Would you consider John Hurt a possibility or is he more in the lines of Tennant as too expensive?

Actually we never considered to invite him as he is a living British filmlegend (such as Michael Caine and the likes) and we presume very difficult to approach for conventions and expensive. You never watched a Doctor Who episode (you don't know what you're missing), but you want to see a Docher Who guest?

Well, you never know without asking info I guess I'm meeting Danny Glover this summer for example and couldn't believe he'll ask so few for an autograph. Anyhow, I see Doctor Who more as a way of meeting guests I otherwise perhaps wouldn't. Alex Kingston is a great example, I love her character in E.R. but she would never get invited for that role. Having a role in Doctor Who suddenly makes her a convention possibility. Same goes for Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston and some others

I highly doubt that John Hurt does conventions, doesn't seem like his kinda thing. He's done more than his share of SciFi (don't forget Hellboy, for example), so I'd love to meet the man.
Would love to meet Danny Glover as well, now that you mention him. I must be the only person in the world who enjoyed Predator 2!

He (John Hurt) has done various conventions in the UK and Germany, probably the US as well. Look it up And I did enjoy Predator 2 as well ^^
