This is a list of FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS with their answer.
Should any of you have further questions about FACTS, just ask them and we'll add them, with our answer, to this Q&A section.
How many months are spent on each FACTS-edition ?
Eight months.
When can dealers unload their goods?
This can be done on saturdaymorning at 6.30.
Can Proton be used to pay?
No proton!
Can I re-enter the convention with my dayticket?
Yes, as many times as you like. Make sure your stamp is still visible and if not, just ask a new one. Ticket is only valid for one day.
Why can nothing be left in safe-keeping?
The problem is the following: on an average FACTS-day we have more then 2500 visitors. If only 300 people would give something for safekeeping (1 or 2 bags) we would quickly collect about 500 (give or take a few) bags. Often
visitors have motorhelmets, jackets and other big stuff that they want to safekeep. As a result, we need
to make special tickets, place two guards to keep an eye,... and sometimes there will be issues like "Hey,my Darth Vader figure is gone". You'll understand we'd rather avoid all this hassle !
Is a filmcamera admitted?
Yes. But it is best to ask permission to people in costume and actors.
Why doesn't FACTS have a Bring & Buy stand?
We're not having a b&b table because of several reasons (too much work already, always discussions about the ownership, problem with the stuff itself,etc...)
The only possibility is to rent a table to display your stuff.
People interested can always contact us but you have to be quick as the tables are getting rented pretty quickly.
How does it happen that we still see some bootlegs on FACTS?
(1) in our contract with ALL dealers, bootlegs are explicitely forbidden.
(2) we strongly encourage the known "badguys" dealers to leave their bootlegs at home.
Some dealers learned their lesson in the past while others sadly have turned to the bootleg side. We do try to change their opinion though.
(3)on FACTS, we don 't have the time to check all the dealers and check all the material.
When a visitor informs us of such material we will take prompt action (which has been done in 2003 & 2004)

Why are signatures so expensive?
The price is most of the time set by the guest-star (or his manager). Some ask a "total" price regardless the number of signatures while others ask a fixed price per signed item. John-Rhys Davies signed for example for free small cards.
As a guest star signs several items for a "total" price, he risks that these items are actually from several people who are thus avoiding to pay.
Why not invite stars like Bruce Campbell?
Mr. Bruce Campbell (and several other highprofiled stars) has been considered, since quite a few members of the F.A.C.T.S.-team are big fans of the man himself.
The only problem is he's a very busy man and it's just hard to get him to come over to our show. But we keep on trying. ..
