every year we are trying to see if this will be a possibility. We do try and do it, but it depends om more then youmight think! I think people will be more inclined to go for a weekend ticket if they are offered something 'special' for weekend ticket holders. Either a separate event on the Friday/Saturday evening, or being in the first round of autographs/photo shoots. I'll agree, if the 'weekend' ticket type offers nothing more than an Early Bird or two single day tickets, few people would be convinced to get a separate ticket type. On the other hand, we already have a lot of people staying over for the weekend (even getting a hotel), so there is at least a possibility for weekend visitors. Might it be a good idea to start a little inquiry or poll to figure out what people would want as 'extra' for weekend tickets? Once you have that worked out, you can do some numbers on the feasibility of the ticket type for FACTS.

Would be great to have a weekend ticket! Hope this will be possible (soon!). It's always nice to save a few €'s. Which in turn can be spend at F.A.C.T.S. again. Can't do a thing with an Early Bird add on to the 'weekend' ticket. A lower entrance fee would be ok, if something extra is added it would (could depending on what it is) be appreciated too.

to the organizers, ever tried getting panasonic, philips, or other hardware manufacturers to sponsor FACTS? I mean ,I went to that Anime! High Art - Pop Culture exhibit and they got nintendo, philips and some other big sponsors to place some 21:1 screens, some DS's etc,... so what I'm trying to say is, nintendo's/philips' major target group is us, the videogame, anime lovers so I wouldn't be surprised if they'd sponsor FACTS.
You already got belgacom/proximus,ubisoft, ...

when did they to that? I never heard of that? but i think you can't compare facts ten years ago and facts 2010 Indeed, it was done in 2001 (one day was 150 BEF and 2 days 250 BEF).

Indeed, it was done in 2001 (one day was 150 BEF and 2 days 250 BEF). Was it any good? Did you consider bringing tickets out with specific 'privileges' for people who want to seriously support FACTS? Keep in mind that we've only got one chance to celebrate 20 years of FACTS. Once that's gone, we're going to have to wait for the 25Y mark to have one hell of a party. (coincidentally, that's the date we're aiming to get the 2015 World Science Fiction Convention back into the Benelux. FACTS has the potential to be that event. Idea to join forces?)

But every year we're getting... harder, better, faster, STRONGER!! ;D 2011 is going to be tight. The bid for the actual venue for 2015 has to be a complete proposal at the 2012 or 2013 Worldcon, with everything prepared. The sooner things can get into nitty-gritty details the better... I'll contact you off-board for that. We now return to our scheduled programming... One thing I'd really like to see: Q&A's with the comic artists.

Some voice actors/actresses from The Clone Wars would be nice. Celebration 5 is now going on and they had some nice guests (ofcourse some impossible ones like Carrie Fisher), including voice actors. www.rebelscum.com/c5/OfficialPix/

I couldn't agree more obviously (as a big SW fan and trooper for some time). Also since this year seems to be the second in a row without any SW guests I do hope to see 1 or 2 next year . But great job on the actors we have this year (and last years was not bad either) still.

thanks mate most fans have no idea. My first time trying to get an actrice was 6 months intensive work and eventually she had a movie commitment. Tough some times. And this is not even the worst stories I heard!!

More seperate tables for the artists. So it's easier to take a picture with them. Instead of just behind the table.
*off-topic* How do you guys/gals keep your A3 prints/sketches safe from harm. Because you can't hardly walk all day with them in your hand?

the Q&A setting was pretty bad and perhaps some more room would not be a bad idea either. I didn't attend any because the first two I wanted to attend were really crowded and I couldn't see nothing with all the people standing in front of me (after those 2 I gave up). Also, you really couldn't hear that much either when you're in the back. Last year it was in a separate room and that's the way it should be because the market noises can be quite loud and distracting. I hope I don't sound to harsh cause I'm not trying to offend you guys, F.A.C.T.S. is still wonderfull and a few suggestions couldn't really do any harm

My thoughts exactly dogsoldiersthingy ! The Q&A room was waaay too small and there's too much noise coming in from the fair ground ! A separate room like we had in the old days would be much better . The rest of F.A.C.T.S. was AB FAB though !

+ Good stage location + entrance well organized + actor & artist locations + 3 halls
- toilets outside (filthy & 40 cents) - Q&A - Ubisoft stand making loud noise
And is it me or was there no Starcraft 2? I passed by the pc's a few times and it was always Final Fantasy

+ large space + good dealer stuff + hellraiser guy
- no mirror for cosplayers - lady cosplay changing room was really small - individual ang group cosplay in 1 , sure if you're with 2 you can do more and win faster :s - check if ppl make there own cosplay , like progress pic's

Points to improve: - Get rid of the smoke machine during the cosplay act. People want to see the cosplay and not just a bunch of smoke. - One corridor was extremely crowded on saturday, probably because the one on the other side was closed off. And on sunday some doors leading to that corridor were closed which didn't help either. - Some orderly lines for buying tickets would have been nice, but it was doable. - The Ubisoft stand was too loud and close to the cosplay competition. - Some stands selling bootleg stuff I still enjoyed facts though

I really enjoyed facts though I do have some pointers! -That one hall.. was deadly.. I never saw hall 2 and 3 just because it was impossible for me to get through that small corridor >.> -In between the backstage and the ladies dressing room was a stage... not so usefull when you have to be backstage but suddenly need some items real quick.. -Maybe more garbage cans next time? -I love Ubisoft, but they should lessen their noise during the compo imo, I had trouble understanding some acts because my brain was dancing to their music xD
POSITIVE THING THAT SAVE OUR COSTUMES: - The table with the tape, etc etc! It was a gift from heaven~ <3

Unfortunately our group decided not to return on sunday cuz we saw everything there is to see and compared to the year before (dealers etc) it was a bit of a dissapointment = / + a lot more space - but not really used properly there was a lot of open space in hall 1 but at one point in another hallway you could not go between 2 shopkeepers if there were ppl browsing on both sides just cuz there wasn't room left. You had to turn sideways and pray you wouldn't get stuck between the guy on the left and the guy with the backpack on the right (which is usually something someone might take to a convention) the Q&A was really tiny, by the time something was going on you could barely use that exit to the other hallway anymore cuz of ppl blocking the way maybe it's better next time (I do believe stoney3k made a very good suggestion for this somewhere) to have a stage in a quiet setting that can be used for cosplay but apart from that also for the guest Q&A? We'll still come back tho cuz it is still interesting to browse and cosplay and see other cosplays but unfortunately we have been saying the last 2 years "last year was better"
