Even though it sounds really tempting, you're basically committing murder on the organisers and standholders. longer opening Howe's That would mean less time for every standholder to clean up. The ICC closed its doors at 21.00 on Sunday and we just barely got out in time. Our stand was the big one in the aft, with the Outrider-tunnel set. That tunnel alone took a full Friday to build up. Yes, and FACTS was looking into changing locations this year. But it would also mean more renting costs. That would mean people like myself would need to take 2 days off work, instead of just one (for the build-up of the stand). We can't just wheel our set pieces, huge props and sets in and out like that. It would also mean another day of extra paying for the guest star's lodge, food, drinks and so on. Logistically, giving FACTS a 3-day duration would be a nightmare for anyone who's not just into it as a visitor.

Hi, I have only been at the convention on Sunday ..and I must admit that I liked the convention A LOT!!!! My main objective were the comic artists. So I was a bit dissappointed when I read that Joe Jusko wasn't coming -> SUGGESTION; update the site after the first day (so people that are only coming one day will get a full update..I read it sunday at the entrance). But who misses Jusko when there are people like Romano & Liam Sharp ..great guys and great artists! Hopefully there will be more comic artists next year~ ..though another suggestion would be changing the date, there are a LOT of conventions in October ..but that suggestion could also be made for the other conventions All-in-all it was my first time at Facts and I LOVED IT ..I will defenitely be visiting next year! THANKS!

@ Kris: Hey, I don't think the first floor would be a good option... Would you like to be there with all your props? Let alone any dealer, who has to make money by selling... I believe visitors will not go upstairs, although it is a wonderful space... bacchus: It was the 15th edition of FACTS this year, and as far as I can remember, it has always been in October (perhaps this ear one weekend later...). How many of the other cons are there for such a long time? So it might be a good idea to tell the other cons... ;D

Besides, I've said it before: renting more room means having to spend more money. The date in October is because FACTS always works together with the Filmfestival.

Serge, can't you just beam them up? ;-) Hmmm... Haven't tried that yet. And even dealers would have to carry their stuff upstairs. In theory, this could be done, but in practice, I doubt many visitors would find their way to the first floor.

true, I think an event like this has to be on one floor, but why not take an extra room? I noticed there was a big one empty behind the bar? That could be a room just for cos'players posing and catwalk hehe

That was a hangar .. I don't think it's suitable for FACTS, as it was freezing in there, however, it made some d**n nice pictures .

That could be a room just for cos'players posing and catwalk hehe This area is off, since the roof is quite unstable and could collapse. Sadly enough, no activities can thus be organised therein (although word has it that they would renew it sometime in 2007 or 2008 ...).

Pitty .. So they're gonna wait a few more years until the state it's in is even worse so it will cost even more effort en money to repair it? Makes sense ;-)

suggestion: with 4 more rooms, there might be a lot more visitors, I think it would be nice if there was more than one entrance, because each year the line gets longer and longer and longer ..... and longer and longer

2 entrances at least, I arrive at FACTS around 8:40 and there is already a huge line waiting.

Make friday 'zero day'; meaning cosplayers can enter on friday evening!! (in America they often hold a cosplay swimming party on day zero; but I guess that pretty impossible to do at the ICC...) I don't know, let cosplayers game & DDR on friday, I swear, you get very funny pictures like that!!

What about letting people actually use the elevator if they're parked underneath. Last year an eldelry guard kept yelling at me when I wanted to use the lift. And I ruined beyond repair my pretty cosplay high heel shoes walking up and down the ramp :-( Also, I'd keep the food place separate from the sellers, and I would add a lot more seats.
